This but unironically.

Why do people get so mad at Nintendo porting games that only got bought first time round by both Wii U owners?

If I haven't played a game, it's new to me.

Because they already own a Wii U and would prefer Nintendo spent time making new games instead of just porting ones from a couple of years ago.

There’s more than one development team at Nintendo.

Do WiiU ports slow down the creation of new Nintendo games? I'm not convinced.

Those machines certainly had a lot of ports in the first year; as a launch-day owner of the PS4, I continued playing on my 360 and PS3 for the majority of that first twelve months. After that the PS4 has grown to become one of my all-time fave consoles, though. Hopefully the Switch will do the same :-).

People got arsey when a re-release/remaster was announced but I'm not sure anyone displayed the dedication necessary to complain about remasters every goddam day even when one hasn't been announced.

If we were getting half-arsed rushjobs like the Marvel:Ultimate Alliance collection then I'd understand people complaints more.

I don’t think so. I very much doubt teams working on ports are teams that would be working on new games otherwise.

They’re using ports to plug gaps in the release calendar. If they weren’t doing ports there wouldn’t be new games in their place.

Nope, theres 1 team and they make all the games so if theyre porting a game they cant work on a new one, everyone knows this.

That's why we're still waiting on a new Animal Crossing game.

I felt the same then as I do now. Pretty sure I was complaining about remasters on PS360 too.

I’ve jusy hit the 10 hour mark and I’m loving it so far. Had 2 crashes though (one where I couldn’t progress as the buttons decided to go on strike and another hard crash back to home screen), but other than that it’s been great.

Only 2 criticisms I have are that it only lets you have 3 nations running and there don’t appear to be any under 18 squads, but I guess they couldn’t cram it all into a Switch.

I’d guess I’m closer to 15hrs and I only bought it on Sunday! Been on it for 5 hrs today alone!

Joy cons repaired. Mario - Mexican level. Cactus, skeletons, parrot, poncho, Sombrero and Bullet bills. How the strawberry float have they produced Odyssey and BOTW for the switch in its first year. No, Seven months actually. Astonishing.

Because they canned any Wii U development they had and left it to wither for 18 months with no new titles (BOTW excluded, of course).
