Are you gonna by jumping on board at launch, TWA? :o .

No. Thats part of the joke Jawa. Like if you couldn't see a film or tv show till later and then BAM. Vader is Jawa all along.

I might have to buy a Switch at launch just to avoid finding out how the eshop works.*

Don't be a dick.

Apologies. But I forgot this was real life and not Mario Kart.

Mario kart is life. Seriously, why are you not getting it at launch?

It's starting to feel like the only GRcadians that won't be getting a Switch at launch are TWA and me.

I'll have to transfer my membership from NDF to SDF* :datass: .

I don't earn lots of money (buy fridge magnets please) and I'm very careful with what I spend. Its expensive and whilst I don't think its ridiculously overpriced or anything its just too much. Specially as its the sort of thing that in order to get use out of it you have to go and spend even more money. Maybe I would do if I hadn't got the PS4. I've just got enough games to see me though for a while yet.

I'll do what I did with the 3DS and Wii U. Keep an eye on deals. See if something really tempting comes along. There is always a tipping point, I knew I would want a 3DS for OOT3D and I knew I would want a Wii U for Pikmin 3. But good deals came along for me before those games came out both times. Heck I got the 3DS cheaper and that was before the price cut and ambassador games!

For Switch the tipping point is Mario. I'll have a Switch this year I'm certain. But it might be as late as Christmas day.

Fair enough. I thought you may have been raring for Splatoon 2.

Nice little article about Tomorrow Corporation (formerly 2D Boy's) games coming to the switch which is World of Goo, Little Inferno and Human Resource Machine.

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/02/interview_tomorrow_corporation_on_supporting_switch_and_why_it_loves_nintendo

Below about the different control methods

Talking specifically about these Switch re-releases, can you outline the special features that fans can look forward to?

Two Handed Kyle: We've been having a lot of fun getting all three games working with the Switch's various control modes:
In Handheld Mode, you can use your fingers to control all three games.
In TV Mode, you can use either Joy-Con (or in some cases both Joy-Cons) to poke and grab at the games. They're really great controllers, and feel buttery smooth, we assume because Nintendo filled them with invincibility stars and mushrooms. They feel even more precise and less lethal than the original WiiMotes.
In Tabletop Mode, you can use any of the above.

Kyle: This means we can provide local multiplayer in World of Goo. We're also working on possibly getting local multiplayer in the other two games as well.

Spot on, man. I know that I could reduce the cost by "just" getting the console and Zelda... but I want the Pro Controller, too. And an extra power adapter (in-bed play :shifty: ). Maybe an extra set of joy-con for multiplayer. Definitely Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. And Arms. Plus Splatoon 2. I'd need that new Zelda season pass. Perhaps that joy-con charger module would be cool. And just those three new Zelda amiibo...

I have the kind of addictive personality that, if I jumped aboard the Switch train, I'd be totally all-in. I'm trying to resist and maybe - *maybe* - making my videogaming a single format thing. Just my PS4.

But, yeah... I'm not sure if my willpower will stay strong. I did it back in the PS2 / Xbox / GC era when I gamed purely on Xbox, and that was cool. I guess we'll see how it pans out.

Maybe. Need to see more. The only problem with Splatoon is I really found my style (bubblertwat) early on and found it hard to mix it up. So my fear is I wont ever quite click with it like that. Its certainly a strong contender to tempt me over if a good deal comes along.

MK is going to be so tough though. I've been honest about how I feel about Deluxe but I know when you all shift over to it a hole will appear in my life.

I'm going to have to start storing all your salty tears. Then just ration it.

Just think of it like the first orders and the people who pick it up as beta testers. They're the ones going to suffer the first year of gooseberry fool Nintendo.

The real dudes buy it when a good amount of software is out and for cheaper 8-)

Matt, I'm throwing down the gauntlet: by the time you get Mario Kart Deluxe, I will be better than you, and you'll never feast on salty tears again. Fight me.

Yeah. Waiting for feedback is very handy here to. Once more info is out on things like battery life you might realise you really don't need the charging cradle.

A few games and accessories might be cheaper to. Plus that game you think looks cool? It might be gooseberry fool. Better to find out first then buy a whole new console only to be let down.

Have you played Mario Kart before? Everyone gets to feed on salty tears at some point. My body has just evolved to depend on it.

Enjoy second place LOSER.

(I'm really bad at Mario Kart so I make up for it with endless shit-talking and excuse-making. ...I obviously don't know for sure, but I like to imagine this is something Denster does too. ;) )

Qikz is usually the one making excuses if he shows up. Most of the time, he's just scared.

I still hold a grudge against Matt for that.

Good thing no one asked to see the votes for the AYAMM final. :shifty:

I've never spotted until now that when I knock you out the way it actually means a green shell misses you.

It could have been worse. :toot:

I just strawberry floating hate the fact Heavy characters are so broken.

But then Matt rides a light character and still dodges all the items so he's hacking clearly.
