Assuming it gets an English language version I may pick it up. Been meaning to give the Mana games a good go for years.

A quick Google suggests that Seiken Densetsu 3 never got an official English release, which is going to be a fairly major problem.

Knackered both my screen protectors. Tried to take them off to get some wee bits off dust out, but the silicon layer got a bit scraped and now it sits off at the corner. Thankfully they're sending a second set as the first was so delayed. Pain in the arse though. Image

I just accepted a small air bubble on the bottom edge of my screen (thankfully on the bezel rather than the screen itself) because I knew I would just stuff it up even worse if I tried to reapply it. :slol:

Is anyone else suffering from the left joycon issue?

In handheld mode it's totally fine for me, but when docked I'm occasionally losing responsiveness from the left controller. It's not outright disconnecting, but it's either registering button presses that I haven't made or not recognising presses I am making. It's not happening constantly, but intermittently. I was playing Zelda fine for an hour like this, then had ten minutes when it refused to behave. I constantly tried redocking the joycons but that seemed to make little to no difference.

I'm using the joycon holder thing and I'm sat no more than three metres away from the Switch.

Is Nintendo doing anything about it? Have I just got a rogue dodgy unit, or is this usual?

I've not used the Joycons in docked mode so not experienced any issues but it does seem to be quite wide spread. I think the last thing Nintendo said on the issue was that they were looking into it

I've thankfully noy had the joycon issue at all at home, but I've not got a huge distance there and there's nothing blocking the signal.

I don't think it's possible to get the issue in handheld, as the things connect without wifi. You can turn on flight mode and they still work in handheld, must be some physical connection for the data.

I get the joycon issue every now and again when I've been playing Zelda; there has been a few times where there is a delay in Link's actions or he will sometimes freestyle on his own for a brief period. I lean my body nearer the machine and it seems to fix it now and again, it's only frustrated me once as I was climbing a thin ledge and trying to be careful and he started running and threw himself of the ledge.

But when I think about it, I have 6 gaming consoles linked up, an Apple TV, Chromecast, my mobile phone and two iPads so there will be a lot of possible Wi-Fi interference, but never had any problems playing handheld mode or using the joycons apart in two player mode for Snipperclips. I wonder if it's anything to do with having the Home Button on the right remote first, as you press that and then you have to press a button on the left remote to wake it up, might be a syncing glitch.

Hopefully a System Update will fix this issue.

It appears that Nintendo has a solution, chanticleer. I wonder if the "fix" will appear as standard in new joy-con?

That's good news if that's the case.

Hopefully they'll be no issues by the time I get a Switch (when Mario Odyssey comes out) later this year. :toot:

Good that they're fixing it, it does seem like the only one of the rather sensationalised Switch hardware issues with much widespread reach to it.

As far as I can tell mine seems fine, still worked even in another room to the system. Don't know if I got lucky with mine or if it could still be susceptible to losing signal.

Hmm, thanks jawa. Just as importantly, it looks like Nintendo are offering repairs, at least in the US. I'll have a poke around Nintendo's website and see if there's somewhere where I can ask for a fix.

Yep good to see , I've seen loads more TV adverts for this than the Wii U and i also know at least 4 people that have a Switch compared to 1 other that has a Wii U.

Wii U : punkeator
Xbox live : darksideby182
Psn : darksideby182
steam : Punkeator
Origin : Punkeator

Finally got to see a Switch in the flesh yesterday. It's a lot smaller than I thought. I wish I could afford one.

Picked up my Wii U gamepad and Dualshock 4 for the first time in weeks last night. They feel absolutely huge in comparison to the Switch. It was very weird.

Graphics on this fifa are way worse than on the PS4/Xbone, this just proves Nintendo can't compete

Should have no more joy-con issues going forward.
There is no design issue with the Joy-Con controllers, and no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort is underway. A manufacturing variation has resulted in wireless interference with a small number of the left Joy-Con. Moving forward this will not be an issue, as the manufacturing variation has been addressed and corrected at the factory level.

We have determined a simple fix can be made to any affected Joy-Con to improve connectivity.

There are other reasons consumers may be experiencing wireless interference. We are asking consumers to contact our customer support team so we can help them determine if a repair is necessary. If it is, consumers can send their controller directly to Nintendo for the adjustment, free of charge, with an anticipated quick return of less than a week.
