Picked up Heroes of the Monkey Tavern in the sale, a Nintendo handheld isn't complete without a Dungeon Master style game. Also bought Picross S the other day with some gold coin credit, again, a Nintendo handheld has to have a Picross game on it. Jupiter never fail to come up with the goods either.

I believe that Super Dragon 64 has, even in the current climate of gaming time being harder to come by, put a lot of time into that game.

I only bought it a couple of days ago and I've already ripped through 40 odd puzzles. This is going to sound mental given it's only a Picross game, but Jupiter have absolutely nailed the controls.

Don't forget, Sonic Mania Plus comes out this summer and a physical release will follow which includes some extra bits and bobs (If your into that sort of thing of course)

I got Fe in the sale

It's alright really. The major problem seems to be performance with some noticeable jutter, and the movement in general feels a little unpolished. Which is a shame as without those problems it's quite an artistic game. I feel like they detract from the experience more than they would from a less art focused title.

My other slight frustration simply comes from playing in handheld - I had to switch the singing from motion controls to right analogue, but while singing the right stick also still controls the camera. So I get the camera swinging about when I'm trying to sing, which can spoil the moment.

What I find really interesting is the game's level design and visual cues to keep the player on path. The game has waypoints for if you get lost, but they are hidden on the map screen, and while I've had to consult that fairly regularly to check I am on the right path it's nice to go the right way based on the level design alone without the levels being strictly linear.

Will be a full reveal and blowout then. Gives you faith in them making their 2018 date too.

This is makes me wonder if this Smash is based on the Wii U game (all content from Wii U & 3DS) and then they are building and updating on top of that

It'll be using the same engine but it's going to have enough new content to be considered a new entry, in my opinion.

I just hope they include the characters and stages from Smash Wii U/3DS at the very least. It would feel a step backwards now if it had a smaller roster and less content.

If it had all the previous content and then say a few new characters, stages, revamped online plus a full single player story mode that would be ideal in my opinion. Then continue to add to the new game with DLC

I think that Ice Climbers, Pokémon Trainer, Snake, Wolf and Pichu are the only characters to have disappeared from the roster (though Charizard survived in place of the Pokémon Trainer's Ivysaur and Squirtle) so I can't see many omissions in Smash Switch. I'll probably still stick with Samus and Link :P

I have indeed  Sadly, I'm now at the more difficult puzzles that require a lot of time but I've managed to work Xenoblade 2 into my life :toot: I'm looking forward to sinking more time into it on Sunday.

Is that going to be a completely separate entity though or DLC?

Though no doubt the bundle will work out cheaper, guess it's car football for me!

They have said the Plus content will also be available as DLC, not sure if a price has been announced though.

It's probably the best Picross game they've done. I'm basing that on it being the only one where I finished them all. Though I didn't do the mega Picross puzzles, so I may go back to it.

Ultimately though I want Hudson Soft to make a new Slitherlink for Switch. GOAT puzzle game. :datass:

EDIT: Having a sinking feeling about Hudson Soft I checked out their Wiki. I forgot they were bought by Konami in 2012. :? I'm not holding my breath for a new one anytime soon. Hopefully someone else can make a decent version of it.

Nothing grabbing my attention on the sale, although I'm not too sure what a few are so maybe there are some bargains.

If FIFA was around 15 quid I'd probably snap it up just to dick around on in handheld mode, but not for 30.

Anything anyone recommends checking out?

If you haven't played Steamworld Dig then that's definitely worth getting for under a fiver. But I also can't believe there is anyone left on planet earth who hasn't played that game on one of the 46 formats it's been released on.

I'm trying to play Oxenfree and really struggling. I'm possibly not in a very 'gamey' frame of mind at the moment, but it's really just a pressing left and right simulator. :shifty:

Tell me I'm wrong and I'll carry on with it.

Soccer Cars (phrase copyright 2018 Evil Ted) is brilliant fun. I've only played it online with other GRcadians and, whilst it is a tricky game to play well, it is just packed with fun action and lovely lastability. It's ace!
