Pro controller is a must, I'd also buy a portable plug so you can charge on the go. Also a plastic official stand so you can charge when you play it in desktop mode, as the charger port is on the bottom.

Zelda is perfect so is a must buy, Splatoon 2 is ridiculously good in multi player, Mario Kart has a ton of content and is also worth a look.

Also the official carry case is really good for taking the switch out and about.

Wish my image sig would work

Get yourself Zelda, Mario Kart and Splatoon.

Pro Controller is really good BUT I don't actually think it's essential. Depends on your budget really. I had a 128Gb SD card from my old phone I threw in there. Digital Foundry did a video comparing SD cards and the switch didn't seem to take benefit from faster cards so just throw in what you've got.

I don't think single format mags are still a thing? Honestly get most of my coverage from lets plays from places like Giant Bomb. GameXplain is a pretty good Nintendo centric Youtube news channel.

Zelda will keep you going for a long while. The Pro controller is great but sometimes u prefer the freedom of a Joy-Con in each hand. Mario Kart and Splatoon are still amazingly fun in multiplayer (I've yet to try the single player on the latter) so go for either or both of them.

It's an exciting machine :toot:

Yeah congrats. As gifts go that's pretty cool. It's had a good launch window for games.

I'd probably get a glass screen protector. I don't bother with them on phones but this thing has a plastic screen that will nick easily. They're cheap on Amazon and I don't even notice mine.

I got one two weeks ago with Mario Kart, Splatoon 2, Zelda and Arms and there aren't enough hours in the day to play it for me.

Pro controller is on my list but it's hard to justify the cost when I quite like the joy cons and there are games to spend the money on-planning to get Mario x Rabbids, FIFA18, Rocket League and Mario Odyessy by the end of year. Plus maybe Skyrim and Xenoblade 2. Need more hours....

Hi guys, I finally have a switch :D could anyone recommend me a good screen protector and a travel case. I'm struggling to find one that has good reviews. Looking forward to replaying breath of the wild again. Got splatoon 2, Mario kart and 1 2 switch.

I got these tempered glass protectors..

>Clicky<

You get 2 glass protectors and are super easy to put on bubble free. As for the case I use the official Switch case which comes with a gooseberry fool screen protector.

Does it have on board memory?
Is there a good Switch Magazine like N64/NGC Mag?
Are there any must have accessories/games?

I don't know anything about it as I wasn't intending to invest until next Christmas.

Just so you know me and PPM knew about this for months. Mwahaha!

I got the Orzly one a few months ago. Hard case and holds 8 games. Will also hold the middle part of the controller that comes with the console that sits in between the joycons, but only fits in one way and allows the case to zip shut. Just £14.99 now on Amazon

Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to Switch :o . The release date is not yet known. I haven't played the first game but I believe that a couple of GRcadans had fun with it on PS4.

Amazing news! Builders was one of my favourite games last year. So much fun, and not at all as gimmicky as I expected, it was a proper RPG. It'll be great to be able to play it on my TV and portably.

Fire Emblem Warriors has a preview tree house video. It looks brilliant. A nice way to end the year with that and Mario.
