Shame you missed the Amazon £10 code from last month. £36 for Zelda with that and the £2 Prime discount.

They didn't make this out of pure Nintendium?
strawberry floating cheap money grabbing bastards they invent an indestructible and clear substance and then don't use it so they can laugh when machines break down and people need to buy replacements.

Worst company ever confirmed.

I was planning to play something to pass the time till Switch/BotW but I can't seem to muster interest in anything other than watching these Zelda previews!

Going to be a long week

Yeah, I used that discount on something else. Ah well.

I really wish there was a solid second experience for launch. Something in the vein of Rogue Leader, Super Monkey Ball, Turok, or Pilotwings. Or the packed in oddball thing like Wii Sports.

Seen Snipperclips for the first time properly earlier, that really looks like the best game available aside from Zelda.

You also have Hollow Knight due out shortly after launch which is a Metroidvania-esq game. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe coming next month as well

This Tuesday we have the Indie Nintendo Direct/presentation so hopefully that will have a few surprises

I'm not so bothered about the lack of games. The drip feed of stuff through to Christmas is just about enough to not make it a complete farce. Plus the PS4 is drowning in releases at the moment so that is more than enough to see me through to Splatoon at least.

What's preventing me from jumping in at the moment is how borked the system is at launch.
- Too expensive
- Online details are non existent and the phone gooseberry fool sounds strawberry floating retarded
- Lack of storage is hilariously anti-consumer meaning the system basically needs another £30 whacked on top out of the box.
- When VC is revealed it's going to be stupidly over priced
- Paying for Nintendos one online game a year is daylight robbery

The thing is such a cool looking bit of kit that it really frustrates me Nintendo strawberry floated up this release so much. I really want it to play Zelda on it (worried the WiiU version will be borked) but I can't help but think there will have to be some level of damage control from Nintendo in the year which may result in them fixing a bunch of this gooseberry fool. But, knowing how stubborn and moronic Nintendo are that probably won't happen so I may as well get one now anyway :x

Also I'm not sure how comfortable that joycon grip is to use?

I can understand if you are talking about extras, but what you get hardware wise is actually pretty good value. £280 for a powerful portable console with 2 controllers is pretty good.

The extras are nice to have but not necessary if you don't want to spend more money.

Sure.

I hate the term 'anti-consumer' when applied to gooseberry fool like this. It isn't. Because games are all available on carts you may not actually need more storage, if you are planning on downloading a lot of stuff and want extra storage the fact it supports MircoSD means that its a relatively cheap option, in fact almost the opposite of 'anti-consumer'. There are plenty of options of all sizes and prices available.

the eponymous bollock wrote:- - When VC is revealed it's going to be stupidly over priced

Maybe, but we don't know that.

the eponymous bollock wrote:- - Paying for Nintendos one online game a year is daylight robbery

Again that's something you don't know, seeing as we know there are at least 2 or 3 online Nintendo games this year, also definitely inaccurate.

https://www.gameseek.co.uk/video-gaming-news/2858/nintendo-switch-back-on-sale-%C2%A3198.50-at-gameseek
We can also guarantee that the customers who pre-order at £198.50 will have their Switch consoles dispatched before release day!

It says "happening soon" as well. Think I'll try my luck at that price.

Apparently they are going to be emailing people who signed up for stock alerts either tomorrow or Tuesday. Might be worth loading the page up and refreshing

Thanks. I've set up stock alert for it. I'm quite happy to wait and play Zelda on Wii U (I actually have my order with them for that) but even if it flops and you wait till Christmas you probably won't see a price lower then that.

Defo, you won't see the Switch £80 cheaper anytime soon regardless of what happens

Does anyone know the best deal or place to get a Micro SD card, I missed the Amazon mis-price a few weeks ago or what has everyone else opted for? Thanks.

I have both a grey and neon addition coming for launch day. Thing is, I've been totally underwhelmed by everything I've seen so far, so much so that I'm not interested anymore. What to do? I generally dislike scalpers and not sure there is even scope for that here. I reckon the most sensible thing to do is just cancel both.

If Zelda or any of the other announced titles don't do it for you then it would probably make sense to cancel it

If you're underwhelmed why have you pre-ordered not one but two switch consoles?

I ordered straight away as soon as orders opened, and I got a bit click happy knowing I could always cancel later. My opinion has kind of changed in the interim period - I don't think the cost is worth it yet. I will almost certainly get one eventually, just not until it is more established and a little cheaper. I wanted to be excited for it but I'm just not. Maybe I'm getting old :(

Ah I see, I think your reasons are perfectly valid. I would wait till later in the year, maybe xmas time when more is available. I was also strongly considering cancelling my order,, in a way I'm still partial to do so, but I really do want to play zelda and the hype etc will inevitably make me not cancel. I can safety say I wouldn't have pre-ordered if zelda wasn't on the cards.

I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with a memory card yet. Only thing I'm certain about buying at launch from the eShop is Shovel Knight (file size should be really small) and possibly Fast RMX if it's any good. I'll definitely be getting one for Splatoon 2 since I'll be getting that digitally.
