For those who aren’t going here’s a video with John at Huey games, showing Hyper running on Switch hardware plus a sneak peak at the retro C64 and ZX Spectrum modes :D

Congrats, that looks terrific! :toot: Especially appreciate you hitting 60fps in undocked

Thanks Jaz! Switch is bloody lovely. We got 60hz straight out from the same codebase as Xbox One without having to turn a single thing off. Nintendo have built a little beast of a console.

Oh man I would love to pop by and say hello! Awesome.

*edit* Quoted wrong post sorry!

That game does look very interesting but I think I’m gonna wait for a few reviews before diving in.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the Switch version of Doom will arrive on a 16 Gb cartridge whilst the multiplayer aspect will require a further 9 Gb of micro SD storage space. It seems that Bethesda didn’t want to pay out for a 32 Gb game cartridge. I can sort of - kind of - understand it, but it is a worry that third party publishers are effectively off-loading some of the costs onto the customer who will then have to buy micro SD storage space.

This isnt a third party issue, it’s a Nintendo issue.

Pre ordered Mario Odyssey for 42 and Fire Emblem Warriors for the same price from Amazon uk. Keeping Mario for Christmas though. Also pre ordered the Mario and Bowser Amiibos from Nintendo UK. Normally wouldn't bother but the design of them is ridiculously good.

Wish my image sig would work

I love indies and their tendency to fill a niche void long left alone by bigger publishers  Never thought we'd see a modern take on Mario sports GBC/GBA games!

Apparently Stardew Valley has gained approval from Nintendo and will launch soon. It seems to have built up quite a following on other formats and I remember Pedz streaming footage of the PC version. The game seems like it could work well on the Switch although I am a wee bit apprehensive about the small text and graphics being a challenge for the portable screen... I hope that they have been moulded to suit the smaller display.

I bought stardew on Xbox and ended up refunding it as it just didn't feel right on Xbox. On a switch however I think it would be far more enjoyable as you can pick up and play a bit here and there.

Really like the look of Golf Story, will pick it up soon, would love to see the developer try more sports in a similar manner like Football story or Tennis story

CDkeys has a few Switch games in stock but only a limited selection; of those, ARMS, Kart and Splatoon are each £45.99. Amazed currently has Odyssey for £41.99 but most other things are standard price. ShopTo stocks quite a few items but generally at standard prices. game.co.uk also has a small selection but all at standard prices.

Anyone know if it's a Switch exclusive or just a timed exclusive?
