Ha, yes. I actually had a vast collection of legit Amiga games. Flashback was not one of them, sadly.

You probably kept the best computer ever alive for an extra year or two - my sincerest thanks :D

It's good yeah, best 2D Zelda on Switch at the moment from what I've played. I'd rank them:

Blossom Tales > Oceanhorn > Yono > Ittle Dew 2+

(If I was counting Kamiko I'd probably put it just behind Blossom Tales)

With Blossom Tales expect something between ALTTP and LA, with more of a focus on combat and having many enemies on screen.

Thanks! I've heard there's a big sale coming up this week, so I'll see if anything interesting is discounted. Also looking forward to the Nindies thing in less than 10 minutes, as if I needed more to add to my backlog.

Very short, but there were a few things that appealed to me. Banner Saga 3 is possibly the most exciting to me, the Switch is perfect for SRPGs. Bomb Chicken looks like it could be a lot of fun. Very amusing concept. I liked the switching between 8 and 16 bit mechanics (at least visually) for The Messanger, but I'm apprehensive it'll feel like a redundant gimmick. Light Fall has 'the next Celeste' written all over it, I'm not sure it's for me, but I'll be interested to see people stream it.

Aye, super excited for that :toot: Good to have it again on a portable. Mark of the Ninja's a cool one too, always wanted to get to that.

I thought there were some really interesting looking games in that showcase. I'm not sure how many of them I'll actually end up buying but it's nice to see there a steady stream of diverse indie games still flowing in!

The Messenger, Light Fall, and Mark of the Ninja would probably be my picks from that lot.

Is Banner Saga anything like Advance Wars?

Excited that Mark of the Ninja is coming to Switch, been wanting to replay it for awhile so this will be the perfect way to do so!

Either that or Nintendo are branching out into a new business area.

Hyper Light Drifter is probably the only game I'd consider re-buying on Switch. Bloody amazing it is.

Opinion: Lumines is kind of gooseberry fool.

Shame Hollow Knights devs had already said they wouldn't be appearing in the indies direct today, nothing else really caught my eye.

Really liked the look of Messenger. Also interested to follow how Shapes and Beats gets reviewed.

There are quite a few things I'd pick up in the eShop sale if they're 20-30% off - is there a full list yet?

Mark of the Ninja, Nidhogg 2 and Hyper Light Drifter we’re big announcements for me today! Some of the new announced games looked really good, Bad North in particular.

So much content coming to Switch this year that I want, if Nintendo bring a fully featured, expanded Virtual Console to the system I probably won’t be gaming on much else

Had a watch of the Nindies showcase this morning. Due to the fact I'm getting old and my twitch reflexes are shot to pieces then I'm not interested in hardcore platformers so that wiped out a good chunk of the games shown. But there was some stuff that really floated my boat. Pode looks like something I'd like to play co-op with the kids, West of Loathing looked interesting but the highlight for me was Bad North. I immediately thought of Powermonger when seeing that trailer and that can't be a bad thing. Also tempted to wait for a Banner Saga trilogy physical release if we're getting one.

EDIT: I mean, if this doesn't make you wistful for Powermonger then I don't know what will.

Another edit:
