Could buying versions from other territories be an issue when they start charging for online play?

I think that it will be. I remember reading that the online fee would apply to each account, not system.

I'd have thought so as the sub would be on account not a console so you would need multiple subs

Given the fact I could make a UK account and play any of the games I own I would doubt it. It's the system you buy the games for and the account you pay for online for.

I was readying my body for extra stability... but there are actually some great enhancements in this update :o .

General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience, including:

> Resolved an issue that caused game software updates to fail and prevented the software from starting

> Improvements to prevent unintended HDMI input change with certain TVs while the console is docked in Sleep Mode

I'm particularly pleased about the HDMI switching issue fix as, whilst I have been played by PES on my PS4, the screen has sometimes blacked out for a second because - I think - the Switch was re-charging and causing a temporary picture change. I will have to test this and see!

I also suffered the HDMI switching issue, glad to hear it's been addressed.

At last the Switch has its system selling game! I'm going to buy one just so I can find the controllers!

Don't give Nintendo ideas. This feature could form the basis of Switch 1 2 Too! for £39.99.

Anyone noticed improvements to Switches wifi signal after the update? GAF seems to suggest it has improved it, i tried it last night whilst docked which i've always had a problem with it connecting and it seems to be picking up the signal bow which is great.

Only problem i do have is when trying to watch the trailers on the News Channel, they just buffer constantly its like watching a stop motion video! Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, Milner, the videos on the news and eShop nearly always buffer and it is the same on the Wii U. I suspect Nintendo are using an old 386 PC as their server.

Ahah I hear you Tommy/Jonny, I want to go mostly digital on Switch but I'm going physical if it's cheaper (or for big single player first party releases like Mario/Zelda). ARMS is a game I'd rather have pre-installed without having to swap carts, but I'm not paying considerably more for the privilege :/

I think I'll pick up a switch for my son's Christmas present this year.

Hori's voice chat system is launching alongside Splatoon 2 in Japan.

I'm just hoping that Nntendo's official solution is a lot - a lot - better than that.

So I guess the app is being launched for Splatoon 2 then.

My lad was saying he wanted one, too. In fairness, to the untrained ear, it sounded a lot like the word 'mah' shouted over and over again, followed by an infectious/hysterical laugh, but I'm pretty sure that means 'I want a switch'.

Do these cards work with Switch too?

If so, you could get two £25 cards, with the 5% Facebook-like discount, for £45.60.

Makes the download version more or less the same price as physical. That's what I'd do.
