I got the Mario red one,but unfortunately it seems like my right joycon isn't exactly lined up with the console and have.. a few wireless issues.
Seems perfectly fine with the neons or grey ones, but I got two friends having the same issues with theirs so..

Just purchased SteamWorld Dig 2 whilst in an inebriated state. No regrets; that title screen music :datass: .

Won’t actually play it until I’ve run through the original game on the 3DS, though :fp: .

Funnily enough, I have issues with the Mario red right joy con as well...Mine lines up, but is seems to disconnect for micro-seconds during play...

Could you explain exactly what the problem with yours is, as I might send mine back to Nintendo, and if we can prove this is a wider issue, there will be no problem in sending out replacements.

I can imagine the problem is difficult for them to replicate if they test it, as you need to play the game for a while before it becomes a problem...

Played this for a couple of hours today. Wasn't sure it would be my thing as I don't have a lot of passion for metroidvanias, but I'm absolutely loving it so far. Such a good gameplay loop.

I will detail it as much as i can then.
So,basically, the physical issue is the 2 joy cons doesnt line up perfectly with the console itself in handheld mode. It's very minor, but when i slide my bf's joycons on my console,it's flawless.

The most important issue however,is the reception of the right joycon. In handheld mode, there's no issues whatsoever, but when the wireless is used for them, for say tabletop or TV,it has a few issues, like terrible input lag going on. On splatoon,it's the most noticable because the right joycon joystick will just stop working alltogether and the camera will fly to the space for no reason.

The longer you are from the console, the worse it is. we have two dock setups here, one on a Computer Table and the other on the TV for couch play.
It happens from time to time on the Computer table, but on the TV,every 15-20 minutes,it's either flying through space or straight up joycon deconnecting.

When I was testing my JoyCon at launch to see if I had the desync issue, mine used to do this, and I assumed I had the issue, but was informed it was the Left JoyCon this affected, not the right. Someone suggested moving my Dock's position slightly (it was partially behind the TV) out from my TV, and it completely fixed my issue. I assume it's something to do with interference, it's worth trying to move the docks slightly to see if you're able to alleviate it in any way. Obviously it might not quite be the same thing, but it's worth trying, if you already haven't.

Ordered the Xenoblade Chronicles pro pad from shopto admits currently priced at £53. I have no interest in the game itself, but the pad looks kinda fancy and I understand the dpad issue raised by some has been resolved. Should make a nice Xmas present from the wife.
Am I right in thinking you can plug the USB c charging lead in to the Switch dock, and if so, will it charge the pad when the switch is in sleep mode and when you are playing undocked? Basically anytime it's plugged in?

You are right, kazanova :toot: .

The Xenoblade pad is nice and I'd forgotten that some folk had suggested the dpad had been improved... I will check that out later by making a comparison to the standard pad.

Okay, I've compared them:

> The dpad on the original controller has a slighty rougher, textured finish than that of the Xenoblade controller which is a little smoother
> The dpad on the original controller makes a slightly "deeper" sound when pressed than that of the Xenoblade controller which has a "higher" sound
> The dpad on the Xenoblade controller has light green markings in line with the Xenoblade "cross" symbol marking; rather than the light grey markings of the original controller. This colour change applies to the ABXY buttons, too
> I haven't taken the controllers apart to see if the dpad physical mechanism has changed, but it doesn't feel different in use

Make a new user. You'll get an option of which to use whenever you start a game.

I would've gotten grey if the bundle deal had allowed it. My neon one looks like a 5 year old's toy. Was getting some right weird looks on a Monday morning BA flight in my suit
