Not tried it yet (just upgraded the firmware and confirmed it connected to my Switch), the build quality on them is pretty good but its a noticeable step down from official controllers. Its also pretty small, which I actually like.

The major thing you lose is any form of rumble, so if that's an issue then its a complete non-starter. I'll have a go later on and see how I get on with it.

I've also ordered the SNES version, which doesn't have any analogue sticks.

Yeah I've been tempted to get the SNES version but not until there's a decent selection of VC games.

Nintendo need to re-release all the great Wii U games for Switch - Mario, Donkey Kong, the Zelda HDs, Captain Toad, Bayonetta etc.

Those games need to be given a second chance!

They're server stress tests more than anything.

Get as many people in at once in a small timeframe to test how the servers handle the load

So... how'd you guys get on with the demo? Any initial thoughts? I'd imagine that more of you will be trying out the daytime tests?

Cross play with the 3DS version too.

Good news that the console will sell a gooseberry fool load in Japan. Hopefully that will be enough to get more games that aren't impenetrable for the rest of us.

Im stuck in a queue at a hairdressers will probably miss the second test fire ;;
