Will be a full reveal and blowout then. Gives you faith in them making their 2018 date too.

This is makes me wonder if this Smash is based on the Wii U game (all content from Wii U & 3DS) and then they are building and updating on top of that

It'll be using the same engine but it's going to have enough new content to be considered a new entry, in my opinion.

I just hope they include the characters and stages from Smash Wii U/3DS at the very least. It would feel a step backwards now if it had a smaller roster and less content.

If it had all the previous content and then say a few new characters, stages, revamped online plus a full single player story mode that would be ideal in my opinion. Then continue to add to the new game with DLC

I think that Ice Climbers, Pokémon Trainer, Snake, Wolf and Pichu are the only characters to have disappeared from the roster (though Charizard survived in place of the Pokémon Trainer's Ivysaur and Squirtle) so I can't see many omissions in Smash Switch. I'll probably still stick with Samus and Link :P

Yeah and ice climbers will most likely return for the next Smash, only missing out on 4 because they wanted the 3DS to have the same roster and it couldn’t handle the character technically. Snake obviously has rights issues so I guess there could be cuts there because of that. Wolf and Pichu are clones (although in a way that makes their omission odder) so they may cut one or two like that. They could certainly trim the Fire Emblem section. Still though, Sakurai knows cutting anyone has potential backlash so I expect there will only be cuts if there are rights issues.

Hmmn... not sure what to think about this. Obvs it must be a very simplified version of the game; something that is playable in short bursts. I'd be interested in a "classic" version as the scope in past years has grown beyond my tastes. I wonder why a version hasn't appeared for consoles in many years?

The vita version was fun and it's been on tablets in one form or other for years. It'll probably be a port of that.

I haven't bought Football Manager on PC in around 3 years but there's a mode in it literally called Classic mode that scaled back a bunch of stuff like the training ground, media interaction etc. to make it more like the older games. They released a version for tablets that was just the classic mode and it sounds like that's what this version will be.

Basically any eshop games automatically credit the points. With cartridges you need to add the points by pressing + on the Joycon on the game icon with the cartridge inserted.

Then when you add a game to the cart on the eshop and go to pay you can choose how many Nintendo gold points you want to use.

Thanks - I can claim my physical points now!

I've worked out what was happening with my coins from eShop purchases now - you earn them on a per region basis. As I've been shopping around from various regions I've now got coins spread across each one!

So far in this sale I've picked up the following:

Blossom Tales
Axiom Verge
Steamworld Dig

Not had a chance to dive into them yet though, and I've still got my eyes on a few others as well - anyone played Mummy Demastered?

I already have one (that I have never used), but what an incredibly generous offer. Good karma to you dude!

Yep, it's good! There was a patch not too long ago that rebalanced some of the biggest complaints (like the number of flying enemies) although I haven't tried it.

Cool, might give it a punt then - love me some sweet metroidvania action!

Also trying to resist the urge to buy Skyrim again at the current price! :simper:

Still no release date for Hollow Knight on Switch, sounds like they're mainly working on language and bugs now so hopefully it won't be too much longer.

There was an update late last year, as far as I know it fixed the major bug where saving in a certain area would render the game unwinnable.

Snap, Hypes. I think I have 100 gold points - equivalent to a mighty £1 - expiring at the end of March; although I have £7 of points in total. Thinking of getting either:

> SteamWorld Dig - Only £4.49 in the current sale and it'd be nice to have that alongside Heist and Dig 2 on my Switch

> Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 - Both titles are also in the current sale and I'd like to try 'em out. I'm wondering if they may be too scary ( :fp:  ) and too tough for my tastes, though

I bought a bunch of indie games to spend my gold. Binaries and Semispheres are both pretty neat little puzzle games, if you like that sort of thing.

Beat Bayonetta 2 on Normal. Felt myself improving as the game went on. Chose not to use any of the game breaking items in the shop, but relied on a lot of lollipops.

Will take a break and return to it in a few weeks for another playthrough. Played 90% on docked with Pro Controller, so may try a Jeanne playthrough in handheld.

My Switch splurge continues.. having bought Bayonetta, Portal Bridge Constructor and Super Mario Odyssey recently, bought Fifa 18 for half price in the current sale. Useful to have a handheld version for when need to keep the boys quiet on trips/holidays
