Celeste feels way better on this than the pro controller D Pad.

Tempted for that celeste recommendation, just need to find it somewhere that isn't amazon!

I'm tempted too by the Celeste recommendation.

But why not Amazon? Though if this is something that's going to make me feel guilty like those videos of cows being forcefully inseminated sent by vegetarians, then don't tell me.

I don't think that is the cost, if you buy one of them then you get £10/£15 off the other. Works out at £50 for both I think.

Is that definitely the case in the EU? I couldn't see that mentioned on the eShop.

I haven't bought anything from amazon in over 5 years, I dislike their quasi-monopoly, their reportedly terrible working conditions, and their tax avoidance.

Also they are often not actually cheapest, I believe they loss-lead on the most popular items to maintain an appearance of being cheapest. The only problem sometimes is finding somewhere else that even stocks the thing I want to buy

I was looking at that, Benzin - although I held off because I wasn't quite sure how the little graphics would work out on the portable screen mode. It'd be cool to hear what you think of it!

Been a while since I played anything on Switch. The other day it had powered down so deeply I had to internet to find out how to get it running again.

Coincidentally I've not picked mine up for a couple of weeks as well. I was getting into Stardew and then suddenly felt a bit intimidated the sheer scope of it and I've been reading books instead of an evening.

I really wouldn't worry about that apparent scope; it's just a game to pick up and play for enjoyment whenever you want to. There's no end point and you don't have to do anything you don't want to. I've just about orn it out - all I'm left with is befriending people and seeing what happens. However I think some new content is on it's way so no doubt when that comes out I'll get going again.

The graphics seem fine tbh, though a think the aspect ratio is slightly off on the results screen ever so slightly in handheld mode. Not had a chance to try it on TV yet.

The camera is a bit weird I think, always starts massively zoomed out for some reason. Might turn down the sensitivity of it to see if it helps once I get into the single player a bit more.

I'm on the third chapter already. It's great. No doubt I've already hit 20+ hours playing it, and I have a feeling there's another 20+ to go on top of that.

I linked that particular listing cos it was £30, RRP is £40! I totally get wanting to avoid amazon though!

Very versatile controller it has separate modes for switch, x input, d input and mac so I can have it paired to the switch my PC (X input) and my retropie (D input) without having to faff with pairing!

Been playing The Next Penelope: Race to Odysseus this week.

If you've ever thought "I like Micro Machines, but I wish it had more shooting and Greek mythology", this is the game for you.

Downloading Bayonetta, after hearing a bunch of codes don't work. I like how it has Bayonetta + Bayonetta 2 on the spine. Not going to play it yet though, just finishing mopping up Lost Sphear, and my PS4 backlog is making me feel guilty, so I'll probably start Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Summon Night 6, or Persona 5 or something. I also got Radiant Historia for the 3DS yesterday too, which only adds to my backlog. Can't believe Bayonetta is my ninth physical retail pick up for the console, and we're still in year one. Genuinely can't think of another console where that's been the case for me. There are loads of things I want from the eShop too.

I don't think that is the cost, if you buy one of them then you get £10/£15 off the other. Works out at £50 for both I think.

Is that definitely the case in the EU? I couldn't see that mentioned on the eShop.

It worked for me. There's no mention of it on the store but I bought Bayonetta and once I completed that purchase Bayonetta 2 was showing up as something like 30% off.

Yeah it worked when I did it, but the EU store listings make utterly no mention of the discount.
That's a bit of a slip up by Nintendo really, they should either actually explain the discounts on both store listings, or have a bundle item for both games at the discounted price in one purchase.

When the games were first listed on the EU eShop the discounts available (i.e. fifty pounds for the two) were stated, but then this text was removed for some reason. I had a look earlier and it has now been restored for both titles. Nintendo must be listening to GRcade :datass: .

Just started NitW. So far have done the prologues and 30 mins of the game proper. Loving the atmosphere. I await Jawa’s approval...
