This, £90 ridiculous considering the dock literally nothing.

It does seem to be crazily expensive but this is always the case for new consoles. I'm not a fan of the dock; it really is bare-bones in terms of build quality, even though it actually works pretty well. The dock pack includes the power adapter (£25) and an hdmi cable... but, yeah, it is way overpriced. Tech manufacturers always bump up profit by over-charging for accessories.

Ive looked around for it and Ive seen people charging stuff through the usb ports but noone has docked anything else into the dock from what Ive seen. Anyone tried this or come across it?

I plugged my Galaxy Note 7 into the dock, and Fire Mario appeared on the TV screen shaking his head.

I'm quite tempted to get the Switch version of Minecraft. Is anyone here getting it?

I'm thinking about it, normally I wouldn't double dip on a game but the Nintendo specific content is appealing and I think it's the perfect fit for the Switch. I'm not sure whether or not to wait for a physical release or not though.

I've already bought minecraft 4 times (PC alpha, PS3, PS4, Vita) but I am very tempted to get it on Switch for the Nintendo content as I held off on the wiiu game. Portability without the Vita limitations would be great, and the Nintendo content is a big draw. I want it physically though.

I've never played minecraft properly, always been intrigued though to give it a proper go so might well do on the switch.

Last night I was adding everyone for the Switch Squad, and thats when I saw that I have played over 30hrs of Zelda in the last five weeks.

Now, I know I havent played as much as some people on here, not by a long shot - but man that filled me with joy. This a console that works so well on my commute, and now I can game for several hours a week rather than just 1-2. Its absolutely brilliant on the go, I love it to bits.

Apologies if this has been asked many times before, but I just wanted to check how easy it was to have multiple accounts on a Switch.

Thinking about making a US account for the cheaper downloads, assuming I can still use my UK account on the same Switch and play games bought from either region? Any restrictions I should know about?

It's easy to create them. You just go to accounts.nintendo.com, create a new account and set your country as either Japan or US. Only thing you need is a valid email address (different from the ones you used on other accounts).

Once you've done that, create a new profile on the switch and then link the Nintendo account you have just created. Takes about ten mins.

I've yet to buy anything from other regions so not sure if that causes issues, anyone know?

I bought Puyo Puyo Tetris with my US account and have had no issues playing it on my UK profile :)

Funnily enough, I did read on NeoGAF that you can actually change locations on one account to access different region eshops, provided you have no funds in your account.

So... powering the Switch on and off.

The first time I booted up my Switch I got the Switch logo (white on a red screen), the "click" sound and then a wee jingle played.

I have never seen that again.

I power off my Switch by holding the power button in for two seconds and then selecting Power/Off from the menu. When I turn it on, the Nintendo logo appears (white on a black screen), the Switch logo appears (white on a black screen; no click or tune) and then a "Start" prompt appears alongside a "featured news" panel.

Is this "right"? I want the click and the jingle  .

Edit: Hmmn... yes, it seems that you only get that start sequence the first time you ever start the console :( . Seems odd.

You need to hold the power button further than that menu to fully power it off.

Then you get the jingle again.
