I think that's an edit. I don't think that's real.

Obviously it is. Look at the nintendo switch logo/font. It's all fuzzy.

But you know they'll do different colour consoles for this. Like the Gamecube.

Curiously, there's a slot in the back of the dock. Reckon you can lay it flat and place the unit in with the screen still visibile?

It looks cool. But why buy this over a high end tablet?

For those of you wondering about price.

If you strip off the screen and controller, you are left with a device that looks like it might not be too dissimilar in size to the Nvidia Shield Android TV box.

https://shield.nvidia.co.uk/

A device that without a HDD has been available for under £100 (although that's on offer, it seems to be officially £169.99), that's a device that has the current top of the range Tegra chip in it (the X1), 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It also does 4k video streaming.

Obviously there's the dock and a screen to add on to that, but I can see perhaps a £249.99 price point. Although with Brexit and the weak pound it might well be $299/€299/£299

All these brands I can play on a high end tablet.

Oh no, that isn't the case.

Obvious.

Because a high end tablet can't play all the nintendo games, the 3rd party games that will come out on it , they wont have the controller options. I dunno perhaps they aren't a console and this isn't a touch screen system or a tablet. Did you bang your head or just being on purposefully simple.I do worry about you some times fade much like your pvp destiny rants :P

So doesn't look like this is replacing their handheld portable offerings. Wonder if we'll get a follow up to the 3DS in 2-3 years.

The dock part looks nice and tidy, but I cant say I'm too keen on the controller, though I suppose they were pretty limited design/style wise for it.

If they want to be really aggressive with the price point and they are getting a good deal from Nvidia...depending on the internals, a £199 price point might not be out of the question for a base pack.

... It's not a tablet technically. It's a games console.
