At least with Friend Codes you can also set your own username and change it when you want.

Pissed off to see that Luigi's Mansion is only getting a 3DS re-release. I only have a standard 3DS XL and I'm not paying £100+ for a New 3DS on top of having the Switch.

Basically I just wish the 3DS would die already.

I may be mistaken, but I didn't think the new Luigi's Mansion game required a New 3DS? I believe it runs on all 3DS systems?

Why would you buy a new 3DS?

Why? Its a machine you own, having games to play on it is a good thing no?

They’re obviously just using the Dark Moon assets and engine for a quick and easy port. A Switch release would take a lot more work and I still think they’ve got LM3 planned for down the line.

I don’t see why you need a New 3DS for it though unless I’m missing something?

But yes the whole system is a mess, at least now everything links together with (presumably) the aim of unifying it all.

I don’t play online on the Switch and haven’t added any friends either. i occasionally play MK8 with my kids on it or they play against each other but that’s it.

Use PS4 & XB1 for any online (but those are very rare too tbh)

Just a little update on little direct competition, the winner is Milner with 3.5 points then raccoon 3 points and Tomous with 2.5 points. PM me details and I’ll sort it out.

Honestly tastes like gooseberry fool. I threw the pack out I opened and just kept the amiibo tag. But hey it’s free!

At least I can have the username I want and can change it when I want without having to pay, or not being able to change it at all.

Steam has both log on name and display name separate.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

ANNOUNCEMENT DIRECT VIDEO

WHAT IS NINTENDO SWITCH?
At home, Nintendo Switch rests in the Nintendo Switch Dock that connects the system to the TV and lets you play with family and friends in the comfort of your living room. By simply lifting Nintendo Switch from the dock, the system will instantly transition to portable mode, and the same great gaming experience that was being enjoyed at home now travels with you. The portability of Nintendo Switch is enhanced by its bright high-definition display. It brings the full home gaming system experience with you to the park, on an airplane, in a car, or to a friend’s apartment.

Gaming springs into action by removing detachable Joy-Con controllers from either side of Nintendo Switch. One player can use a Joy-Con controller in each hand; two players can each take one; or multiple Joy-Con can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options. They can easily click back into place or be slipped into a Joy-Con Grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller. Or, if preferred, the gamer can select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to use instead of the Joy-Con controllers. Furthermore, it is possible for numerous people to bring their Nintendo Switch systems together to enjoy local multiplayer face-to-face competition.

“Nintendo Switch allows gamers the freedom to play however they like,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, President and COO, Nintendo of America. “It gives game developers new abilities to bring their creative visions to life by opening up the concept of gaming without boundaries.”

Developers can design their games supporting a variety of play styles, which gives gamers the freedom to choose an experience that best suits them.
