This happened to me once when changing from docked to undocked. Everything was fine but yeah, wish Nintendo would implement a backup system.

That's happened to me a few times when playing Golf Story.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

I once had my Switch get incredibly hot stuck in a cycle of rebooting over and over. It hasn't happened since, thankfully.

After a few iffy months of none play in general my switch has firmly become my primary games fixture. Finally got in to Mario Rabbids which I’m really enjoying. Played Odyseey from start to finish with my 5 year old.

On a quick side note assist mode is perfect for getting my kid in to this and the fact it can be flicked on and off is a master stroke.

Also bought a few eshop titles The flame in the flood, SteamWorld Dig 2, Stardew Valley, I am Setsuna and the absolutely sublime Axiom Verge which delights and surprises with every new item and area.

Plus I have Xenoblade waiting to be played after having a brief stint up to the first town. Again this looks to be absolutely fantastic. Got Just Dance 2018 for Christmas Day dancing shenanigans.

Amazing machine. Love it.

If you enjoyed Dig 2, Patty’, you may be interested to know that SteamWorld Heist releases in the eShop on 28 Dec.

Happened once with mine during Mario. Panicked at first but easily fixed by holding your finger on the power button to hard reset it.

Talking of the power button, that's my one issue with the Switch. It's not particularly easy to turn on and off...

What's the quickest way to completely power it down?

If you press the power button the machine will go into "sleep" mode. To fully turn it off, you have to hold down the power button for a few seconds until a menu appears; then select "power down" to turn it off.

The strangest thing for me about the Switch is that the famous "red background, white Switch logo and the (click!) sound" only happens the first time you ever turn on the machine! Even though that sequence features at the start of all official Switch game video footage!

Ahhh, so the only way to turn it off is as you say...I thought there might have been a quicker way. Thanks :toot:

Rocket League getting a performance patch sometime today.

Also finally got my copy of WWE 2k18. It's as bad as you've heard. It struggles to even do 1 vs 1.

I received mine for my son this morning but i'm going to return it having read all the reviews and comments on it and get it one the xbox one instead. I only waited for the switch version as i thought he would like to be able to play it on the go.

tbf as far as WWE games go I wouldn't even bother with the Xbox One version. They haven't exactly been "good" games for a good few iterations. It's kinda depressing how much better they were back in the PS2 days. If they did a HD remake of Here Comes the Pain or something, it'd be the greatest thing ever.

The people who ported it have promised improvements but it doesn't sound like they will be in time for xmas.

Tbh I'm rather enjoying the PS4 version, reviewed pretty well too. Only £21.99 in Sainsburys and online so not much of a gamble anyway.

Ridiculous price.

What price did it launch at on the other systems?

EDIT: does it offer much more than the digital version as that seems good value at £15
