I'm desperate for one, but at the moment I just don't have the cash. Once the car's service and MOT are out the way, and I've possibly moved house, I'll be ready to save up for one though.

Aye, smart move IMO. Christmas is probably the earliest this will have a library that appeals to you (& games that are good for Mia) and there'll be better bundles for it by then.
Question, are you able to adjust the rumble for the Joycons? Like, are you able to turn it up? I've got those grips on mine and I can't hardly feel any rumble while playing Graceful Explosion Machine
I got the demo for Puyo Puyo Tetris and had a really good time so went to buy it on eshop, but it's not out until next week?! Why are they waiting until the day before Mario Kart is out to release this?

Honestly I have no idea, I've had it since it came out in Japan (since language isn't an issue obviously) and it makes no sense they've waited 2 months to release it. Maybe the localisation wasn't complete or it was some Tetris Company license fuckery.

It's odd how consoles can appeal to different folk in different ways. I was totally keen on the U right from the initial announcement and yet, with Switch, my desire to jump on board is pretty slim. I'm not out to put the system down and it's clear that some of you folk are really enjoying it but, for me, there are a few aspects I'd want to see improved - and, perhaps unusually, it's not to do with the game range.
> Battery life: sure, it's three hours and you could buy a battery pack but it feels like Nintendo have taken a Game Gear approach to battery life rather than Game Boy > The cradle looks to have super cheap build quality. Nintendo products are usually pretty well made and the cradle appears to be a step backwards > Using carts (cards) could be a mistake. I love the idea, but nowdays games are released in unfinished states and updates are pretty standard. The cost and capacity of the carts makes me think the console should have been far more download-focused
As I say, I'm not setting out to dump on the console but, to be honest, I'm not convinced by it at the moment. My views could be a bit harsh as I haven't seen the system IRL, but that is part of the challenge for Nintendo - they have to clearly show positive, desirable aspects of the system in order to get people interested. Perhaps they will do in time; I hope so.
