I've mostly been enjoying it! The gameplay is generally snappy and fun, not to mention bolstered by an immensely charming aesthetic. It is too easy though, and the progression through stages can be sluggish at times (an aggravating water level in particular).

Also, folks on GAF have been citing some resolution scaling issues, though I think it still looks quite nice on the Switch's screen.

Pushing left right or down is with ease, but once I push up, there's a small point where it sticks and then carries on, which reduces movement. Anyone else got this?

Try cleaning under the lip of the stick. Some of my PS3 controllers have this, it's due to the lubricant used to pull the cap over the stick.

The only direct way aye, though people you've added on Miitomo or Super Mario Run will come up as suggested friends.

I've also been enjoying it and also find it rather easy, which is a shock as I'm gooseberry fool at games. I guess they streamlined it from the original as I'm sure there are many doors you can go into that lead to dead ends and they don't seem to be in Zero.

Don't expect Netflix any time soon:

Netflix to Stuff Magazine wrote:One thing that won’t be happening is Netflix’s arrival on Nintendo Switch. Todd Yellin [Vice President of Product Innovation] was keen to point out that the company has access to every major device before its release, such as the aforementioned phones. However, there’s no work being done on a Nintendo Switch app, which sadly is in keeping with what we’ve seen of the console’s complete focus on games at this stage.

Is anywhere doing the Pro Controller for cheaper than the £58.99 at Grainger Games?

Yeah they've made it far more approachable than the original which I'm happy for, just perhaps may have gone a little too far. The issue is especially apparent in overhead mod,e where the highest powered weapon is too easy to hold onto; it makes enemies and even some bosses a cakewalk. Apparently there's no unlockable hard mode either which is a shame, it could really use one.

Nearly picked one up today, my local Asda had the grey Switch available and a load of 3rd party accessories.

Not that i could see they had a 3rd party controller that a Joycon sits in.

They also had grips for the Joycon analogue sticks.

I contacted the seller and they have told me that Royal Mail have managed to lose/steal all the orders that were sent out around that date. They are now sending me another one out as a 'Signed For' delivery and have given me a tracking number.

Might have to give that a go then. I've got my Switch docked and don't really dare undock it for any reason until I get the protectors.

So, tempted to get a Switch and can find one at local Argos, but there are no games available to buy? Zelda is out of stock and everything else is preorder. What are the currently available Switch games please?

Also, do I need to buy an SD card or is the inbuilt memory sufficient. Don't plan on downloading for now. Do cartridges install like PS4/XB1? If so, can I delete a game's install but retain the save, or is it like the Vita where the save file is deleted when the game is?

In terms of retail games...

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2-Switch
Super Bomberman R
Skylanders: Imaginators
Just Dance 2017

But then there are also a number of digital only games including...

Fast RMX
I Am Setsuna
Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove
Snipperclips
Blaster Master Zero

To be honest though a copy of Zelda is probably all you need for the first month or so, Mario Kart 8 Ultimate is out at the end of April.

If you don't plan on doing any downloading than you won't need a micro SD card, KingK. In the longer term I'd suggest you may want one, but not at the start. Games on carts don't need to install; they play right off the cart. If any game updates are made than they will be stored on the internal memory. Game saves are also stored on the internal memory.

Thx chaps. I'll have to hold off getting the console as Zelda is the only game I'm interested in out of that lot, and everywhere is out of stock (except Amazon sellers wanting £65+!)
