Edit. it's released on the 31st July.

I've pre ordered one. I sit about 5-6 feet away from away from my Switch so hoping the lead is long enough. I'm happy with the joycons so it will be used for 2 player Mario Kart with the missus (currently use little joypad shaped holders for each joycon)

Can't seem to find any details about the length of the cable.

It looks like being a reasonable controller for that price but just so that you are aware:

Cheers for the info Jawa, not a fan of motion controls anyway and wouldn't be bothered about no NFC or Vibe.

Thanks as well. I wasn't aware of that but don't think that should be a problem.

I've tried to find out how long the controller cable is but no luck so far. Hopefully it will soon come to light!

A wired controller with no rumble or motion controls?

Why isn't it like £10?

The colours, on paper, shouldn't really work... but they look great!

Love my Switch so far. Zelda, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2 and Mario Odyssey in the same year is ridiculous. Hope Fire Emblem Warriors is out this year.

Wish my image sig would work

Think they've confirmed a end of September release for Japan with "fall" for Europe/America so you should be in luck.

It appears that the Nintendo Switch app is available to download now on iOS and Android.

Early reports aren't clear on whether Nintendo has actually switched the supporting servers on yet or if they're being hammered by user volume, though.

Edit: I've just downloaded the app from the Apple Store; search for "Nintendo Switch Online".

Edit: When attempting to login, a message is reported indicating that the servers are down for maintenance.

Moving this over to the correct thread...

Have you updated the controllers?

System Settings/Controllers and Sensors/Update Controllers.

Yeah, all up to date.

So bloody annoying that Nintendo have insisted on keeping saves on the console. I've put in hours and hours into Zelda, so I don't want to get the whole system swapped. Customer service say the joy-cons are taking quite a while to repair right now, so I don't want to send it away.

Also, sorry for writing this in the Wii U thread. Thought I was in the Switch one. :fp:

I switched the joy-con's with my friends to test, and it's definitely a faulty joy-con. Luckily he has a 2nd set, which he's kindly loaned me until mine get repaired/replaced. Still waiting on Nintendo emailing me a returns label though.
