Surprised how good Puyo Puyo Tetris get game for when having to travel.

Got Mario kart coming at the end of the month but I'm definitely getting puyo puyo Tetris next month . The demo is great fun ,I use to play the hell out of super puyo puyo on the snes. It's actually nice to see demos as well ,always good to try before you buy.

I've finished Zelda, so I'm not really sure what to do with my free time now.

That does mean I'm looking for a new game, and it seems like quite a few interesting Switch indie games have landed. I was originally thinking Snake Pass, but reading over the last few pages has made it hard to decide on one.

I'll pick up Kamiko when I'm done with Zelda. After over 70 hours but only one divine beast and 40 shrines, that won't be soon :lol:

Only 40 shrines in 70 hours? And I thought I was bad. Then again my Koroks seeds are pitiful.

I've got about 150 of those. I need to keep my eye out for more.

Local Smyths are selling a Switch console + Zelda + Skylanders Imaginators + Just Dance for £319.99 :shock:

Seems a very good deal especially as presumably could sell Skylanders and Just Dance to get some money back. Edit: it's 1 of those games only, not all 3. Thought it was too good to be true

Very tempted to get one and the wife is prepared to spend some of her bonus on one for me :wub:

Couple of questions before I do though please.....What are the local multiplayer games currently available or due imminently (next 2-3 months)?
And also, are the 2 joycons that are included with the console all we need to play them or are more joycons / Pro controllers required?

I've seen the trailer for the Switch and it includes the basketball game (no idea what it's called) demoed as 2 screens with 4 joycons for 4 people (so 2 people can play on 1 screen using 2 joycons) which looks a good idea. Will Mario Kart 8 do the same so 2 people can play on the out-of-the-box console?

I'm aware Splatoon 2 is due out in July but what else?

Basically yes, you don't need any more than what you get in the box to play local two player MP games. As far as I'm aware MK supports this (in fact it seems to support 4 player splitscreen, but you'll obviously need another pair of controllers for that).

I know you didn't ask this but as far as I'm aware Splatoon 2 is online/LAN multiplayer only. No single Switch console multiplayer.

The other big releases between MK8 and Splatoon are Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers and ARMS (Rime is also due on Switch in May as well as other platforms), there's also Puyo Puyo Tetris due at the same time as MK8.

If you are interested in local MP games, I'd say Fast RMX and Snipperclips are both worth a look.

I'm not a Tetris fan (sacrilege I know) and no idea what Puyo Puyo is so won't be going for that. What is the basketball game from the advert called? Also, any idea when it's out?

I think Zelda for me, plus MK8 for my kids when it's out. Been reading reviews re Skylanders and how the characters are scanned into the console which is a bonus as we have a few from previous games!

Do I need to use an SD card from Day1 to save game progress or is there some internal memory?

There's 32GB internal memory. You'll only need a card if You're buying a lot of digital games.

No plans to buy digital at all. Do the games install to internal memory like PS4/XB1 or do they run off the cartridge?

They run off the cards but game updates are saved to the system memory I think.

Not online only, you just need multiple Switch consoles (and copies of the game) to play local MP.
