I might also wait until Christmas to play Odyssey as it'll make Christmas more magical. There will be enough to play during that period so I just have to decide if it want to miss out on the launch hype.

Has anyone got Lego City Undercover on Switch? Whats it like? I heard the performance undocked was quite choppy and it had a few glitches, were these patched?

Played it entirely handheld, really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, crashing problems seem to get worse with higher completion (and possibly with cheats turned on?). I reached 80+% completion and stopped playing because it go to the point where it was reliably crashing every time I tried to play it.

Bear in mind this is over 25 hours in. I had almost zero problems playing through the game through to the final level - it probably crashed on me 3 or 4 times at most.

If I bought a switch here would I be able to use it in the US? Moving out there later in the year and hoping it's as simple as replacing the power cord.

Console itself is region free and you can use different regional stores with different user accounts, so you should be golden.

WWE 2K18 has been confirmed for a Switch release. Perfect game to play on the go when want something to dive in for a quick go. Can see me spending a lot of time on it. Just hope it's a full featured version (assumedly with a bit of a graphical downgrade). Best not have loads of bits cut like the entrances and music etc... or a tiny roster. Or worse still, be based off last year's 360 game.

Hopefully the start of more 3rd party multiplatform releases arriving though.

Edit: from ign

It's unclear if the Switch version will get a deluxe version that allows for early access, however.
2K also confirmed that the upgrades being made to the already-announced versions - alterations to the MyCareer mode, added customisation options and more - are included. The press release also implies that the new rendering engine is being used in the Switch version.

Shame the series is a load of gooseberry fool though.

Get Fire Pro on there.

It could be a lot better but it's not terrible. Though I did tire of 2k17 quite quickly.. the career mode needs a lot of work. I preferred the story modes in previous years games where you followed key bits of someone's career etc.. the career mode is a nice idea but feels a chore to play upto now.

Firepro would be great though. I spent hours on the Dreamcast game. Do they still make them? I remember a lame 3d thing on the 360 but it was nothing like the older firepro titles.

There's a new firepro coming out on steam early access at midnight tonight and eventually to ps4 if that helps.

Thanks for the answers folks. It was really the differences in power that I was concerned about but it seems that being a usb c device I should just be able to buy the US power adaptor. Ordered from shopto :D

The power adapter you get with the UK Switch is 100v-250v so a travel adapter will work with it in the US.

The Splatoon chat headset by Hori is up for pre-order. Is any GRcadian gonna be trying it out?

I'm just not keen on plugging a phone / tablet into a headset and the wires look pretty messy. I can't imagine that Nintendo's own solution will be much different, though?

There isn't really any other way Nintendo can do it.

They need to merge audio from 2 devices, cables like that is the only way.
