Never again

There's a good chance you put it on the wrong way, you need the corresponding +/- icon on the grip to match the joycon (ala the example on the right below, the one on the left being incorrect):

Also have to make sure the little white plastic tab is pulled out as that locks it into place. Honestly even with those factors checked it's still not a terribly elegant process removing, still it should be easier.

And aye, I don't mind using single joycons w/grips for multiplayer, not ideal but it's more comfortable than I expected.

Everytime o undock the system the screen won’t work. I have to hard reset the system everytime I want to get the LCD screen working to play portable

I wouldn't be surprised if Yodel actually used that clip to train new delivery staff.

When the system is off and I pick it up out of the dock, the screen powers on for a few seconds before turning off if a button is not pressed. Does your screen turn on, Milner? Or, are you playing in docked mode and then the screen turns off when you remove the system to play portable?

I undock it and the little battery indicator pops up to say 100% battery and the screen is lit up but it is just a black screen. In order to get the menu up I have to hold the power button in until it resets and then it works again :?

Got it all set up and played a bit of Mario Kart in handheld and docked mode. Great stuff so far, very impressed! :)

Zelda, pro controller and other accessories should be arriving over the next few days...

Anyone else getting Fire Emblem Warriors on the 20th? A week before Mario might hurt it's hype and sales, looks excellent fun though.

Wish my image sig would work

I'm interested in playing it but I know that I won't have time when it launches and then it'll be sidelined by Odyssey so I'll pick it up later.

Sister said she'd get it me for Christmas so am holding off on Fire Emblem for now, probably for the best with Mario Odyssey coming out shortly after.

The Pro Controller is a lovely bit of kit. So now you have Kart and Zelda BotW... that’s the same two games that I got with my Switch. Should keep you entertained for a while!

Good day all,

Potential Switcher (?) here, got a nice wedge for my birthday and have been humming and hawing about a Switch since launch.

Had a decent look about, is a Switch with a big hitter like Zelda or MK8 for about £320-£330 as good as you are getting? Is one set of Joy Cons fine for playing MK8 with the good lady or would I benefit from having another set? Pro Controller worth it? :shifty:

Cheers for any info/suggestions, off Friday so may brave the shops and get one :toot:

You would be fine with the joycons, they aren't ideal but will be fine if you are on a bit of a budget. If you can afford a pro pad though definitely get it as it's a great pad.
