It is rather a mystery. Retro has been working on a new game since early 2014, suggesting that originally they must have been developing on the Wii U and at some point they transferred over to Switch. It’s coming up to four years and we haven’t seen anything, though... it’s gonna have to be a hell of a game to recoup that kind of cost. I hope it is!
Thinking about a Nintendo Direct in January, I’d love to see...
Possibilities> Animal Crossing. Pocket Camp wetted my appetite but, for me, the experience is too slim. I want to see something like New Leaf 2... and without crow-barred in money transactions
> Mario Kart 8 DLC. The game is already packed but it’d be ace to see a pack containing, say, six new tracks
> Virtual Console. Please, Nintendo... get this right. No silly stuff like too-high pricing or to too-dark colours
> Some form of communication for friends. I want to be able to message and chat with my Switch pals!
> Some new software features for the Switch; things that brought a sense of fun to past Nintendo systems such as Streetpass, Badge Arcade, Doodle, Channels and the mighty Miiverse. I also want software timer tracking that matches the excellent capabilities of the 3DS version!
