Instant buyers remorse upon realizing i don't even play videogames anymore. Maybe this will reintroduce me to them.
Looks pretty enough though.
There are some fantastic games on it, and it's very accessible & pick-up-and-play. It's a great 'getting back into playing games' console.
Odyssey and
Breath of the Wild are legit two of the best games of all time. For multiplayer,
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the definitive
Mario Kart. Those are the system's must-buys.
If you fancy them, there are tonnes more great games:
Rabbids,
ARMS,
Splatoon,
Disgaea, and
Xenoblade are all either games I would recommend or have been recommended & am planning to pick up soon. I haven't even touched on local multiplayer or indie stuff (they don't tend to be my thing) but I hear the system's got a lot going on in those areas too.
Next year I reckon we'll at least see
Pokemon and
Metroid (surely must-buys!),
Octopath Traveller and
Luigi's Mansion, and ports of
Mario Maker and
Smash Bros..
