I liked Club Nintendo and My Nintendo has been pretty rubbish, really. I had 70-odd gold coins expire a few weeks ago because their were - for me - no decent offers. It's amazing that My Nintendo launched around the time of the Switch launch and yet there has Nintendo been a single Switch offer.
Nintendo has gained - quite rightly, in my view - a lot of praise for the Switch launch and the range of great games, but it has taken a big step backwards in terms of the "Nintendo"-type customer engagement things that previously existed (Club Nintendo, Channels, Miiverse, themes, friend comms, eShop, Badge Arcade, Street Pass, Miis) with all of them being either closed or forgotten about. In my view, these things played a big part in what made Nintendo different from other game manufacturers.

You could exchange Club Nintendo points for Wii store vouchers but the exchange rate was terrible. I’m sure it was something like 1000 points (four full price games) to get a fiver voucher.
My Xenoblade Pro Controller arrived - just tried it out. I was a little unsure at first as the analogue sticks stick out rather far (at least for what I'm used to) but after maybe 10 minutes gameplay I got used to it and I'm very happy with it.
How do you claim your My Nintendo coins on digital purchases then? When I go to the reward screen on each game it says I need to insert the game card but they are digital copies?
Finally something to spend them on however I tend to buy physical games, I just checked my account and because some have expired I only have 144 gold coins, so that’s a amazing £1.44
