Thing is, not counting the ports (which they're not going to spend much time on) they only have Mario Tennis confirmed for Spring and nothing really for the summer. Assumingly, they'll give Yoshi a name and release for some point in there but they have must have some stuff to announce. Expecting lots of third party stuff for the summer especially as a lot of those ports have quick turnarounds between announcement and release.

I won't be around to watch the Direct live but I'll catch up later that night.

I hope that Nintendo announces some system software updates; friend communications, voice / chat, game time tracker, eShop enhancements, themes and some new stuff along the lines of Badge Arcade / Street Pass / Channels. After having nothing for a year, it seems reasonable to assume some of these aspects must be ready to roll out now.

Game-wise, I'm hoping to see footage of Mario Tennis Aces as I'd love to play a cool, arcadey tennis title. I've genuinely forgotten what Retro Studios are doing now... is it still unknown? I don't think we've had any "facts" for four years now?

Mario Tennis will definitely be shown-the Direct description states as such.

No one knows anything about what Retro are upto for sure. There’s been some speculation based on hirings and LinkedIn profiles but honestly at this point it could be anything.

Expecting ports, ports, ports.

I hope we hear something more than just ports. As someone who owns a WiiU, all the ports are of little interest to me. I get why they're doing it, but it still, I want new stuff.

So, Zen Studios game in Switch Pinball FX 3 is a dodgy shonky mess and they have basically said strawberry float you we ain't fixing it.

Been trying to think of a way to give away this mario cereal. With the news of a direct I propose the following wee game for the switch squad:

Make 10 predictions for the direct tomorrow person who gets most predictions right wins a box of Super Mario Cereal. I’m the event of a tie, we will think of something.

Will that work? I presume it will. If you wanna partake make a numbered 1-10 post before 5pm tomorrow.

In the event of a tie, the winners have to share so you can send an envelope full of cereal to each winner! My predictions are

1, Dark Souls Remastered footage
2, Wolfenstein 2 footage and release date announced (May)
3. Super Mario Odyssey DLC announced
4, Wonderful 101 port announced
5, Mario Tennis Aces release date revealed (June)
6, Fire Emblem Switch gameplay trailer
7. Diablo 3 port announced
8, Hollow Knight release date reveal (This month)
9. Hyrule Warriors Trailer and release date reveal (April)
10. South Park TSoT and TFBW both heading to Switch announcement.

I'm betting Mario maker.

The one port I'd like to see is Xenoblade Chronicles X. In terms of "updated" titles, I'd lke to see Mario Maker - albeit I'm a bit cautious about how it'd work without a stylus function.

Re the gold points discount I can’t believe this launched just 1 day after I spent £88 on the eshop. I hardly ever buy off the eshop (it’s been months since I had) and for the sake of 1 day I’ve missed out on a few quid.

Also now regret wasting a few gold coins in the past on tat. Never needed to but hey ho
