I agree, I have a “new” 3DS but I don’t play it anymore, I wish it would die because I’d rather Nintendo focus on making games for the Switch or a new more powerful handheld

True but I think there might be room in the market for a all new 3DS type console, smaller than the Switch and keeping the duel screens and if possible remaining backward compatible,

This Gekido Kintaro's Revenge game looks pretty legit so I Preordered it off the eshop on the spot lol. Seems like a fun beat em up which I'm a sucker for.

So after probably not playing any games for over a year since the little one has become a toddler meaning he's mobile and needs entertaining 24/7 I decided to celebrate Mar10 by buying a Switch with Zelda and Mario/Rabbids.

Only played it a little bit on the weekend but can see it being a god-send for me as I can sit on the sofa playing it when the little dude is playing or watching stuff on TV and also can play it while the Mrs watches her programmes on TV :toot:

Absolutely loving Zelda at the moment. Just managed to pick up Mario Odyssey for £34 brand new too but dont want to touch it until I'm done with Zelda.

Any other 'must-have' games to get/eShop games to pick up?

Chalmers, you're back! And in Switch Squad :toot: .

As for games... well, there's a lot of stuff. You made a good choice with Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle; it's a lovely turn-based action puzzler!

Haha cheers mate. Yeah the Mario + Rabbids game was free with the console but when I watched reviews compare it to Xcom couldn't turn that down. Yet to open it though as I've been engrossed in Zelda. Might try and get it out for a bit tonight and give it a go.

I'm hesistant at buying loads straight away as I'll just jump between games and not really focus on anything. Want to try and get Zelda finished before anything else substantial.

Golf Story
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Dragon Quest Builders

Would be the 3 I would recommend outside of Zelda and Odyssey

I massively support your approach, dude - better to spend time on a couple of games and really enjoy them rather than try and play tons of stuff at once. Zelda and Rabbids are gonna take up a lot of your game-playing time... after that, Mario Odyssey awaits you :) .

Skyrim will absorb over 100hrs of your time. It has with me, mostly in handheld mode too.

Doom is fantastic too if you’ve yet to play it, or fancy having it on the go.

Yeah you should just concentrate on the two best games on the Switch

Zelda and Celeste

I was tempted to pick up Skyrim for what is probably the fifth time but decided against it at the moment

Think I'll get it down the line, portable handheld Skyrim is a no brainer!

I'm going to get Skyrim when I'm next flying to the US. It really should take the edge off the 7hr flight.

I've barely touched my Switch in weeks tho... :shifty:

I'm playing Xbox nightly and my train ride is too short for some reason, it used to stop at one of the city center stops for 10mins now it doesnt...

This is basically my life, too. I haven't played a game on the PS4 for several months now (aside from testing a couple when I got my new TV).

The Switch, however, gets played loads. I would really recommend Steamworld Dig 2, and Steamworld Heist, if you haven't played that on a different system.

I like playing in handheld mode so much that I usually play that way even when the TV is free. :shifty:

I ended up doing that yesterday afternoon put Deadpool on the TV in the background and just sat there playing Zelda on the sofa.

On the eShop; The Mummy Demastered and Axiom Verge are amazing little MetroidVania games JChalmers. They're excellent on the TV and even better portable.
