Fire Emblem will definitly have DLC and online multiplayer. I'm not really interested in either addition, or the increasing fanservice, but am still looking forward to the E3 reveal.

Ok, this sounds mad but I like it.

I think maybe someone saw my comment about an Animal Crossing battle royale game and went off on one.
It sounds interesting, and if someone could make it work, I bet Retro would. But I'd place my choice firmly with Sumo for any sort of racer, considering the experience they have with them.

There's going to be one hell of a fan backlash if that's true.

Well, as improbable as Retro making a Star Fox racing spin-off may sound, Eurogamer sources have heard similar.

While I hadn't heard the name - and don't know if that is accurate or final - other details line up with what I have heard.

Again, I've not heard that name specifically, but the rest of the details line up.

Still think Retro will make another DK game, but a new IP would be great.

:fp:

I just want a proper, normal F-Zero game.

Sort it out Nintendo. :capnscotty:

A Starfox Racer sounds potentially interesting but I can't help but wonder why we can't just have a proper Starfox shooter which isn't a rehash of Starwing, or hindered by a dodgy control scheme. Or a proper F-Zero racing game which has a story mode. Still, we'll see if it actually happens, there've been rumblings of a Starfox crossover game for a while (It was Starfox/Metroid last time if I remember correctly) and nothing has come to fruition yet.

I'd actually like a remake of Zero with controls that actually work.

Hope that doesn't get confirmed. Good grief. I feel like they should start with proper installments in franchises before focusing on nonsense spin-offs like racing games or the like :dread: Everyone's been crying out for a decent X-Wing game from the Star Wars franchises, why haven't they figured out that they could do a new Star Fox game that's essentially Rogue Squadron without the license?

The reason we can’t have proper F-Zero’s is because hardly anyone buyed them last time round, unfortunately.

Hardly anyone bought the Wii U but they made another console. </ad7>

My imagination is going wild the potential of a Star Fox Racing game now >,> If they could pull off a genuine story mode, that could be pretty awesome. As for the racing, we don't really have much space themed ones atm. Mix in crazy elements with items and courses based on what we've seen in past SF games and this could have some meat to be pretty juicy.

A Star Fox racing game could be good, loved Diddy Kong Racing back in the day so if this is done in a similar vein I'd definitely give it a go!

Hopefully this is either bullshit or taps into that magic WTF thinking that Mario Rabbids did.

Maybe they know people want F-Zero but know it sells like gooseberry fool so think adding some mascots from another series might help. Mechanically I can imagine some interesting ideas (transforming vehicles/space battle dynamic tracks) but it sounds so jarring on a thematic level.

Still at least its not Mario Kart 8 Deluxer edition.

Well, technically James McCloud was in an F-Zero game so can see the connection :shifty:

Surely if you are going make a racing game you would just use F-Zero? It will be interesting if true but I don’t think many people can say they were clamouring for a Starfox Racing game
