Switch has become the console I think I have amassed the most games for during its lifespan, probably helped by a long life span.

Looking at how many games me and the misses have is kind of staggering... I so so hope the next console is backwards compatible and takes the carts.

I grabbed another cheap one straight after work, having a CEX between my work and my bus is hazardous.

Paper Mario tomorrow and I'm torn on whether to use the NSO vouchers or not. What if nothing of interest to me gets announced during this June Direct? What out of the few dozen games already available would I use the other on? Would I even want anything from the list? Guess I'll just have to dive in and find out.

Are the vouchers time limited?

The expiry is a year, so I guess I don't really have much to worry about. Especially if the Switch successor is out before May and the vouchers work on those games too.

Gotta be hopeful that this is the time they don't kill off a service in the switch (heh) to a new generation.

Probably a longshot, but Pokemon Legends Z-A could be a launch window game? Although I'd still prefer that sticks to a normal Pokemon release rather than January when Legends Arceus released.

I suspect that Nintendo's games for Switch 2 are gonna see a big price increase over Switch titles; probably to the £70 level that Sony and Microsoft (and larger third party publishers like EA and Ubisoft) now price "AAA" games at. It's amazing to think that Nintendo has offered far cheaper first-party games than Sony and MS for a few years now... I wonder if it is just a coincidence that this has coincided with Nintendo's period of record profits?

I think the TOTK £60 RRP will just become the standard pricing on Switch 2. I very much doubt they'll go as high as £70.

Highest priced normal edition Switch games I have seen are when TOTK was £60 in lots of shops and Unicorn Overlord was £55. I do think those sort of price points are where we are headed with Switch 2.... It won't change things for me, I'll buy stuff I have to have on launch on launch but still penny pinch for everything else looking at second hand and cheap sights and waiting for sales just like I always have done...I'll still be critical of buying short or basic games on launch.

Playing through Yoshi's Crafted World - non existent difficulty level but charming and fun levels to play through in short bursts.

Even then I think I only paid £46 for it from ShopTo at launch? Maybe £47?

I think £60 will become Nintendo's new price point for Switch 2 but you'll be able to get £47-£48 if you shop around.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Nintendo try and price the next big 3D Zelda at £65-70, they know it will still sell so it’s an easy one to increase the price on.

Probably but we'll be well into Switch 2's life by the time it arrives, probably 2029.
