If I had the money I'd be snapping up POP and the Tomb Raider trilogy. Not sure when Luigi 2 is out but I'd have that too.

i waiting for Tomb Raider trilogy sale could come this month.

Guys, yes, I have tried the NeoGrip (Skull & Co) controller. It comes with three slide-on grip options and I find it to be comfortable to use.

I haven't used the NeoGrip that much, though, because I have preferred to use Hori Split Pad Pro, which are larger joy-con. They offer good comfort and have larger sticks.

Both of these options are good choices. The NeoGrip allows you to use your standard joy-con whilst the Split Pad Pro gives a more "standard console controller" feel.

^ And if you want in-depth reviews - with photos and details of their respective cases! - I made a dedicated thread for these two controller options. Click here to read it.

Yeah, I use the Neogrip, it’s great but the joycon are still probably the worst controllers Nintendo have put out in terms of ergonomics. I really hope they redesign the joycon for Switch 2, forget about using each one as a mini controller and focus on making them comfortable to hold in handheld mode.

Think I’m not even into double figures of the amount of times I’ve taken my joycons off my Switch, probably a small part of the reason I’ve not encountered the disconnect issue more than a couple of times.

Hopefully the Switch 2’s Joycons are a lot better.

I was once again double teaming it with Red Dead Redemption and Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Undead Nightmare so far is such an atmospheric expansion turning the wild west into a zombie filled horror. Will see it through to conclusion. As for A Wonderful Life, second year of summer and I've just started experimenting with mixing crops with Vinnie. It's such a unique Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon game with many of its systems, that I'm also wanting to see this one to its conclusion, too.

Hollow Knight was one of the first games to really make me use my Switch, before Hollow Knight I'd pick it up fiddle and put it down, I was for a brief time wondering if I'd wasted my money getting one.

I have digitally owned it for a long time, I just grabbed myself a physical copy, do I need it? Not really but when I'd place the game in my Top Ten games made in the last decade list I felt I needed to get it.

I did this too! I want to get Hades for similar reasons, just haven't been able to justify the expense right now.

I understand that situation and I have occasionally done this, too. A physical copy just feels more like "you own it" and, for me, it's nice to have something physical when you have truly enjoyed a game.

As someone who loves Super Mario World and has recently finished (and ultimately really enjoyed) Mario Bros Wonder, should I pick up Super Mario Deluxe? I have never played NSMBU.

It seems opinion on the game is really mixed.

I haven't actually played it but have you played the other NSMB games? I feel like a lot of the negative reviews for NSMBU were because the series had gotten stale but if you haven't played the others that may not be an issue.

Loved Wonder and World.

Honestly a little indifferent about NSMBU. It's fine not bad by any means, exactly what you'd expect no less no more from a new bros game. It's ok if you're really just want a little more 2D Mario. Definitely worth it if you haven't played other New Bros games, big step down from Wonder though.

Similarly after finishing Wonder I'm thinking about Mario Maker. I like the idea of having nearly infinite Mario levels to play. Is Maker any good?

thanks for the reply. I have never played any of the "New" games.

I too have been considering revisiting Mario Maker (2). It's very good, but it is hard to find a cohesive set of levels that are all of a decent quality (Nintendo created ones notwithstanding - they are really creative and there is a good number of them).

The game had many strong updates, including one that includes a lot of Zelda content which really mixes things up in interesting ways.

There is also a world option, which allows people to put a number of there courses in to a "game". This is probably the best way to experience content - you can find a talented creator and play through a well designed number of levels.

I never got in to the creative side much (though the GRcade competitions are legendary), but just as a "consumer" of levels it's very strong.

Hmmm, maybe I should renew my NSO subscription.

Yup, GRcade Mario Maker produced some excellent stuff. Should probably run through them all again myself. It's been a while, so I've likely forgot the best way through them all.

Cheers Kaz, yeah that was the worry for me, about hunting through it all to find cohesive levels. Also I like creative and playing with the form, but worry quite hard to find 'more traditional' levels.

I will look into though-thanks

Sorry - I missed your reply. Thanks - I have not played any of them before, and I really like the idea of having a load of quality Nintendo designed levels to chip away at as and when the mood grabs me (that's the great thing about Mario games - no anxiety about putting them down for a few months and then forgetting where you were, what the plot is or how the controls work).

I kept seeing Hollow Knight for silly money but I saw it second hand in good condition today for £19 which is what swayed it..
