It's good to see that Monster Hunter Stories is coming to Switch. I just saw on X that the 3DS original had some free Zelda DLC that looked very cool:

Yeah, if the Zelda DLC is included with the Switch version I will likely buy this on Switch. If not, PC it is.

The sequel is a fantastic game. It doesn't run as well as it should but the gameplay and story are fantastic. It's basically Pokémon, finding eggs, growing an army of monsters and battling.

I wasn't sure about getting the prequel but since it's coming to PS4 I'll get it on there.

Made a start on Red Dead this morning, looks really good playing handheld, already side tracked with hunting to try and get a little bit of money in the early stage of the game to buy a few of the essential items.

i played vampire survivors today and unlock 3 characters.

I’ve not played it since the PS3 days! Back in the days when open world games didn’t feel overwhelming too.

A quick update to say the Chinese rip off battery I put in my original Switch is really working awesomely now its been charged and depleted a whole bunch of times, it's really made my Switch back like it used to be.

Only really been playing my Fortnite sessions lately though so can't say how Mario VS Donkey Kong is as it's still sealed, I could really do with some quiet me time where nothing goes wrong to play more games.

I just purchased my second ever loose Switch game cart Trinity Trigger for £10.... was hoping I could find a scan of the cover online and get someone to print it for me.... cant seem to find a scan of the full thing anywhere.... still happy with the price.

Looks more akin to the Steam Deck now which I find a lot more comfortable in terms of stick placement. I’ll be keen to give this a try once it arrives, again though, I wouldn’t want to buy one until knowing it’s compatible with Switch 2.

I'm always confused by the sticks on the same level. Maybe it's coming from the Gamecube, but I always feel you're more likely to need the buttons than the extra stick so by putting the buttons underneath you end up having to stretch your thumb more.

I don't think it matters where the stick placement is as long as they're on a diagonal from each other to allow a good thumb rotation for when reaching to them. On that accord, the Joy Con fail owing to being on top of each other. As you say, the Gamecube got that right. As does the Xbox. Haven't just a PlayStation controller in years to know how that is.

Swapping between various controllers over the years, stick placement has never been a huge issue for me luckily. I do think the Nitro Deck+ looks great, with the Switch 2 on the horizon it’s a harder sell if it might be obsolete in around a year. I’ve managed with the standard joycons for this long when playing handheld, I think I can make it a little longer!

The original version is pretty new, isn't it? I'd be a little frustrated if I'd bought that and now found that they're changing it already! Even so... it does look to be decent.
