On another subject, I just saw someone on resetera say captain toad for the switch has a full chapter of odysee levels rather than the couple I'd expected. Can anyone confirm this? Might now buy it for Christmas if there's enough new content (I got 100% in the Wii U version).

Only the first 4 of those are the themed levels you are talking about, the rest are bonus levels but they came with the original game I think.

I had thought that there were just the four Odyssey-based levels, with the original 3D World-based levels removed.

Just succumbed to picking up a 32gb switch with Zelda alongside Mario & Rabbids. Mario Odyssey is on my to buy list and wondering if I need to get anything else for it? i.e case, a bigger battery etc.

Good decision. It's a great machine. I'm into Zelda at the moment and am hooked in all sorts of ways I wasn't expecting. I've never really enjoyed Zelda games before but BotW is accessible, fun and addictive. And it plays like an absolute dream.


If you are taking the Switch out and about, then a hard shell case might be a good idea. I went to buy one and then realised this whole satchel only cost a little bit more, and it includes a removable shell for the main Switch unit. The whole bag has room for your dock, some games, the power cord, and the controller adapter. The removable shell is big enough for the Joycons to stay attached as well.

Also, and I'm not wishing to spark a debate about screen protectors here (some people hate them, some people prefer to use them, let's just leave it at that), but if you do like them, or are worried about scratches, then the tempered glass ones are decent.

A case is a must if you ask me, if you want something a bit more bare bones than what Poser linked to I use this one. It holds the Switch with joycons atached and has space for a handful of games. The only drawback is the limited space for physical games, they could easily fit in a second row on the flap and double the capacity but the case itself is great, hard shell, with a padded lining so I just chuck it in my bag and away I go.

I don't use screen protectors but I'd definitely recommend a case. I miss the clamshell design of the 3DS which meant that I just took the console itself outside, without a case. I have this one:

Yup. I lacked one for the first few months and started seeing scratches on the left of the screen from the dock. Grabbed a set of screen protectors for about a tenner.

Cheers guys. I'll probably go with the messenger bag seeing as it comes with a smaller case and a screen protector... Might wait a few weeks though as i've just spunked £395 on a switch, 3 games and a pro controller. More than i was hoping to spend. But pretty hyped nonetheless.

I've been so hyped for this game since the first time I saw it. It reminds me so much of Powermonger which I spent so many hours playing back on the Atari ST.
