... :o . Good point, Qikz - I'd forgotten about that! Great news :) .

It seems that Scribblenauts Mega Pack may not get a UK / Europe release; the game has launched in the US but no sign of it coming here. I wonder if it's to do with the DC Heroes licence as the Wii U original never launched here either? I *could* get the US version, but as this game revolves around spelling this may not work out too well. Dang it!

Uh-oh... you've pressed my Wii U button, BAKA! I agree that the Switch has a great library (albeit, in my eyes, far better in year one than year two has been) but the U also had quite a library of titles initially - just look at the first year from November 2012 through November 2013 (WARNING: fanboy list incoming!)

New Super Mario Bros U
Nintendo Land
Pikmin 3
The Wonderful 101
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
Wii Sports Club
Super Mario 3D World

Assassin's Creed III
Batman Arkham City
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Darksiders II
Mass Effect 3
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Tekken TAG Tournament 2
Zombi U
Ninja Gaiden 3
The Amazing Spider-Man
Monster Hunter 3
Need for Speed: Most Wanted U
Lego City Undercover
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Lego Batman 2
Resident Evil Revelations
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Rayman Legends
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Batman Arkham Origins
Mario & Sonic Olympic Winter Games
Lego Marvel Super Heroes
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

The U had way more "big" third-party titles than the Switch has seen; albeit I do agree that the Switch has a large array of excellent inde games.

I can't justify signing up to the online service yet. Maybe when Smash arrives.

I have however bought Undertale today. I haven't played it before but it sounds like it'll be right up my street.

Haha... it's definitely subjective though, I'm sure there are many titles that I've picked up that you've not looked at twice, yet in your list, there's only around 5 that I would pick up (NSMBU, The Wonderful 101, Wind Waker, Zombi U, Monster Hunter 3). With Switch it seems they're getting more support from Japanese third parties than they did with Wii U, and that's generally where my interests lie. It feels, with Japanese third parties, that the support is more comparable to the 3DS, but even then, it still feels like a faster rate of output with Switch.

BAKA wrote:As I have to use some Gold points by the end of this month, I opened and redeemed many of the games I have yet to play, and it struck me how amazing the Switch's library is, in a year and a half, and all these have appealed to me enough to warrant a purchase:

There's literally only one eShop title there too (Fortnite), there's a hell of a lot I want on the eShop but haven't yet splurged on (Undertale, Romancing Saga 2, Mercenaries Chronicles Saga, Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon, etc). I'll finally be linking my card to pay for their Online service tomorrow, I'm hoping I don't go overboard in digital pick ups (All those games are only worth £7.96 in gold points!).

There's a load of stuff I want to get in the next four weeks too (Labyrinth Of Refrain, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country, Valkyria Chronicles 4, Super Mario Party, Disgaea 1 Complete, The World Ends With You). Granted, my taste is niche, and skewered towards Japanese RPGs, but it's a hell of a line up within two years especially compared to the Wii U.

It's a good line-up, problem for me is half (exaggerating) or Wii U ports, and I like the indie titles, but for me, they are more preferable on PC.

Looks like Amazo UK has finally woken up and change the date to the correct date for paid online. Phew no online limbo for me

Unfortunately I was still awake when the NES games went live <.<

A few quick impressions:

+Super slick interface, incredibly fast
+Image quality (in handheld at least) is excellent on pixel perfect and 4:3, super vibrant and sharp. By far better than any previous NES Virtual Console! Go for 4:3 as it's most accurate
+Emulation seems spot on from first impressions, seems super responsive with minimal input lag too
+There's a neat option that lets you play a game while waiting for a friend to join an online room

-friends only online
-no customisable buttons
-not crazy on CRT filter sadly, seems to be emulating a fuzzy composite picture but I'd rather have a sharp RGB esque one
-I died on the first goomba in SMB1 and Tecmo Bowl was a humiliatingly brazen showcase of how little I know about American football

Overall quite positive, super relieved that the emulation seems to be solid. Really gutted at no randoms online and lack of button customisation, really hope they improve those

Despite my griping... I am Online.

System updated and NES games downloaded. As Jazzem said, the emulation seems to be good.

A few rumours are arising; confirmation needed, but:

Although I may be the only person on GRcade at all interested in this... the Scribblenauts Mega Pack has launched in the eShop :o ... :toot: .

I would like a cart version, really, but I don't think it's happening :shifty: .

Bar the region locking. You should try your Other region games and report back here.

I signed up directly through the eShop, Pedz. You can use any Gold Coins you may have to reduce the cost.

Yeah, I didn't get a Pro Controller update, either - I will check this out later.

How much is Scribblenauts, Jawa? Might pick that up as a game to play with the girlfriend when we've got too cross at Overcooked and Surgeon Simulator :slol:

I *think* the region locking - if it exists - applies to download purchases rather than cart purchases... tried my USA The End is Nigh cart and it worked fine.
