Nah, it's had enough chances. I'll no doubt dip into it every now and then, but I don't anticipate putting any serious time into it. There are too many other shiny games out there vying for my attention, and my gaming time is so precious these days I can't afford to waste it getting needlessly frustrated.

There is an assist mode which is pretty...assisting. I was struggling on some post game content to the point where i would have dropped it, but turning this mode on got me over the hump.

If I need to turn on the baby mode to progress in a game, the game is not for me

Oh without a doubt. I have actually recently been pondering my gaming habits. When I get some free time I tend to go straight to what I'd consider the "easy" options - games that I know inside out that don't require me to learn new systems, mechanics or stories. Those games have typically been Football Manager and FIFA. I can quite easily sit and play either for a good few hours, and whilst I enjoy the experience at the time, afterwards I do sometimes feel like I've wasted my time a bit, with no real tangible progress to show for my efforts. That's partly because you can't ever really "complete" FM or FIFA, they're endless games. Trouble is, when my next opportunity comes along to get some gaming in, the lazy part of my brain normally wins and I just stick one of those on (or sometimes both at the same time, menage a futbol ). It's easy, it's comfortable, it's comforting.

That feeling of being a wastrel is exacerbated when I go to take the disc out of the PS4 and I see my other games sat collecting dust - I've got a small collection of really good games that I continually overlook because I just can't be arsed getting into them. Same with my Switch - I'll quit to the homescreen and see some genuinely great games sat unloved, all with less play time combined than I've put into FM. All kneel before the Football Manager behemoth

Totally rambled with this, but what I'm slowly getting to is that I need to make more of a conscious effort to break out of the football cycle and try some other games every now and then.

Without wishing to spoil it, at least do yourself the favour of playing up to and including all of new donk city's main moons, ESPECIALLY if you can do those on Christmas day as it'll be a gaming highlight
