I started out buying most of my Switch games on cart but the convenience of having everything just sat there on the SD card and not needing to swap carts over is just so appealing.

I know it's massively lazy buy I have sometimes played something other than the game I was originally going to just because I couldn't be arsed to get up and swap the cart over!

I would want them downloaded so I can pick up and play anything when out and about without needing to carry a heap of carts with me.

It's got to the point where I'm really needing an SD card now. Any recommendations?

I think this is the one I've got:

SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC Memory Card

I would recommend SanDisk as a brand generally, they are very reliable. As far as I know the Switch doesn't benefit from any of the more expensive "super fast" SD cards (U3 etc.) so there's no point dropping more cash to get one of those.

Ooh not a bad price thanks.

No worries, you can get 200GB and 256GB versions as well but 128GB seems to be the sweet spot at the moment.

Where are the best deals on Switch consoles at the moment?
My mum wants to get my dad a Switch for his birthday in July.

Ooh, just spotted Mario and Rabbids Gold Edition is $44 (£33) in the US eShop, which includes the upcoming DK expansion. Time to get my US account linked then :toot:

Zelda is $45 (£34, as opposed to £45) and might get Pac-Man CE2 too ($10).

You don't even need to use a US account. Just change your account region to USA while you buy them then change back again.

How much are they, out of interest? Night the base game for the Vita for about seven quid, but despite having not started it yet, I quite fancy all the add-on content and getting it on switch, as i'm now more likely to take that with me on trips.

There's a version with both DLCs for £19.49, or £5.99 for the Crimson Court and £2.24 for the Shieldbreaker.

Got SD card for my Switch alongside brand new Pro controller today (ordered yesterday).

Have to say having more memory on my Switch feels nice and the pad's great to use, quite pricey though. I had to use my mates' ones in York to make sure I like it enough before I dropped £55 on it. Think it's worth every penny but I do hope they drop in price for new owners.

Hyped for new Smash though, as well Pokemon Let's Go! Pikachu this year -- and I've yet to pick up few games I want to get this year. Good year for Switch owner, imo.

Although I quite enjoyed DD on the Vita I did think it suffered for being on a small screen. The UI is way too cluttered and the text is too small. Might work better on the Switch.

I'm still tempted by a pro controller, still yet to buy one yet as £55 is on the dearer side of things..... Luckily I find it the joy con grip perfectly fine.

Like yourself I'm looking forward to Pokémon, not so much Smash for myself though.

Hollow Knight so far for me about two to three hours in could be described as tough but fair. I think it's definitely worth a tenner.

Joycons are often too small for me for games like Bayonetta so I splurged some money on the controller, ended up enjoying the game way more. But yeah the price is high.
