Crikey, NBK. It sounds like you're only moments away from living a lifestyle which involves the family clambering up onto your roof and having a party :toot: .

What's this about tomorrow? It's unlocked and I'm playing until my battery runs dead.
Let's Go, Eevee! And see the world! [Well... Kanto, anyway]

Picked up Runner 3 in the sale. It's great! I imagine the additional checkpointing is making it more approachable, and I have seen no issues with frame drops, micro stutters etc. For anyone curious about it I would strongly recommend it for the price (8 quid).

I just finished Enter The Gungeon.

Such a fantastic game and so generous with a consistent stream of new surprises and items and ideas.

Gets my highest recommendation for Switch-y Good Times.

Need to give Gungeon some more time, only played a few runs and they all ended super early

Currently I'm playing Moonlighter which you might also find appealing. Rouguelike dungeons but persistent progress outside of them and a neat shop owning/loot selling focus.

Moonlighter sounds great and it's art style is hella purdy - will have a look.

Gungeon I bounced off a few times as I found the default control scheme naff (though my friends seem to tolerate it just fine). I don't remember the default scheme or what felt cumbersome about it, but after experimentation I settled into having fire on R trigger, item on R button, dash on Left trigger (a la bayonetta), reload on Y (I think) and Weapon swap on A.

Anyway once I'd found something that worked the game finally clicked and now it's a joy to play.

I loved Runner 2, totally forgot there was a sequel.

I'm having a great time with it, but it seems a lot of people did not like the changes. If you pick it up it would be good to compare leaderboard scores, so let me know if you do! The are difficulty options now that modify your score multiplier.

I'm trying to stay away from Pokemon, very nearly caved, after watching a couple of streamers last night. Luckily Amazon was out of stock of the Eevee bundle, and it was more expensive, otherwise I think I'd be playing it now. I just can't forgive not giving at least the option of the Pro-controller and traditional controls. I understand they're aiming for a different audience, but I don't understand not giving gamers the choice.

I am curious about the ball. I assume it comes with a charging cable? A couple of streamers couldn't seem to work out why their throws were going wide, and I was wondering how sensitive it is.

It looks so cute though, I'm seriously jealous. I want to play, and will probably cave. I tend to play one entry and skip one (played Moon, skipped Ultra Sun & Moon), so this would typically be one I played. Hopefully Dragon Quest keeps me occupied. I still have post game stuff to do in Octopath too (100 hours later).

Yeah it comes with a very short USB A to C cable, I can forgive that due to the noise it makes when you plug it into charge though (Pokémon healing sound) I've had a few throws go wide with the joy con and Poké ball so I thought it was just me, think you have to make sure you keep the ball in a similar position throughout each encounter so just you can aim better, no idea if this is true or not but I seem to find it's the case.

I do agree about the normal controls, should certainly be the option there for people who want to use them.

I can't believe you can't turn gyro off when there is an analogue stick right there, or even the touch screen. I want to play this on the bus I do not want gyro wobble

I love the short USB cable - I have more than enough long USB C cables so I'm going to keep this one with my portable charge to charge my phone and Poké Ball :toot:
