Anyone have any opinions on how Sushi Strikers is as a complete game?

I played the switch demo and enjoyed it, but am not sure how well it would hold up over the full game length. It's 15 quid in my local Smyth's on both switch and 3ds. I can't help but feel it would pay better on 3ds, but I feel I am more likely to keep playing on the newer switch format. Has anybody tried both versions?

Picked up Dark Souls Remastered this morning (£27 via South Africa) and am quite impressed with the port so far. It looks good and runs smoothly so far so no complaints on that side of things.

Biggest annoyance is that the network connected aspect of the game means you won't use the instant suspend/resume functionality of the Switch which seriously diminishes the games appeal as a pick up and play on the go title. If I can't suspend and resume when I want then it's pretty much only going to get played at home for me. :(

I thought the Xbox One/PS4/Switch versions all supported suspend and resume?

For what it's worth, it's pretty quick to quit DS back to the title screen. Might be an option to do that and then go into sleep mode, not as instant but may still offer convenience :)

Huh? What happens with the game when you sleep then?

When you try and resume it says there's a network issue and boots you back to the title screen.

It does seem to dump you back where you were when it eventually reloads but it's an added inconvenience that will annoy anyone used to instantly suspending and resuming whenever they want.

DF analysis is out for Dark Souls:

It's based off the 2011 release and is missing all of the remastered version's upgrades save a more solid frame rate and res update

Games wot I worked on:
Night Call: Out now!
Rip Them Off: Out now!

Not a shock since the Switch has the power of a toaster.

They might do if you start it in offline mode but if you’re online it kicks you back to the main menu. It’s always been like that with the souls games and Bloodborne I think.

Thanks. I'm pretty tempted. I just found my finger would sometimes obstruct the screen and make it hard to see adjacent plates. I could probably get used to it though. Do you play with the touch screen controls or using stick?

So why can't they just kick you to offline mode if you suspend rather than booting you out of the whole thing?

Just watched that Digital Foundry analysis of Dark Souls. I'm impressed; the overall picture is a very positive one.

You get to see a number of incredible beasts in the analysis :o .
