Not bad right now, living in Glasgow on-and-off, tend to spend around 6 months of the year travelling and teaching short term contracts across Europe. Will probably continue doing that for a few years as it can be a nice earner and a fun experience while I figure out what I may want to settle into.

...which is where a Switch will be quite handy! See I can stay on topic.

Actually, what would be some non-Nintendo games people would recommend? I've kept my eyes on the format for a while so have a list of stuff that does interest me, though the pace at which I would likely get them is very slow. Hollow Knight, Capcom Beat Em Up Bundle and Enter The Gungeon are probably the ones that spring to mind off the top of my head.

Stardew Valley. Not only is it pretty much the perfect game, it's such an ideal fit for the Switch.

I'm annoyed it's that price now as I bought it without the season pass for the same amount. Hopefully the DLC will be on sale at some point.

It's a great 2 player game too, although you need to play the single.player to unlock that mode.

I managed to get it as part of a good bundle last Black Friday, so I was quite lucky in that respect. £25 all-in is a brilliant, brilliant price.

I've not bought the DLC yet; deffo hope it'll be cheap soon.

I'm happy enough with the regular game but I echo that you should definitely get it.

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I'm always tempted by this game, but i know i can get easily frustrated with games of this type. How infuriating is it compared to, say, X Com? I have dabbled with those since the UFO enemy unknown days, but everything goes so wrong so quickly in those games i tend to lose investment quickly. How long is a round of M+R? Is it fairly snappy to replay a level, or does it feel like a slog?

Wow, this is a brilliant price.

DK Adventure is well worth anyone’s money too. An excellent example of DLC done correctly.

I haven’t played X Com but I rarely found it a slog. It occasionally got frustrating on replaying some of the harder boss battles but it’s also very rewarding and if you get a grasp on how to handle your weapon upgrades and skill trees, the game isn’t too difficult. Definitely give it a go at £25. You could even start with DK Adventure which is standalone to the main game and in my opinion, easier due to DK being overpowered.

I am very tempted at that price. Thanks for the info, interesting that the DK content is easier.

Warframe seems to have been taken off the UK eShop. Hopefully will return today.

Yeah Mario Rabbids is definitely a game I have been keeping my eye on. Never did get around to playing Xcom 2 but greatly enjoyed Enemy Unknown, so getting myself some kind of Xcom fix will be a must.

I don't see myself buying too many games to start with, ad additions such as larger SD cards I will likely leave for next year. The big titles I'd prefer to have physical copies of and I am trying to tighten my belt a bit these days to possibly plan for the future. Smash, Odyssey, Breath of the Wild and Mario Rabbids may be enough to last me months on end. :D

Yeah, it was released early (last evening) in error, Yoshimi. It'll be back up during today.

Will it be free to play, and will you need the Nintendo Online gubbins?

It's going to take something special to drag me away from Stardew Valley (best game on the Switch, no contest), but this could be a fun distraction.

Celeste sir.

Celeeeeeeeeeste.

Hi, by the way. Also there are a lot of good local multiplayer titles, but that doesn’t really help with commute gaming.

Assuming the port is good, everyone should check Warframe out. It's an incredibly generous FTP Destiny-before-Destiny game that's really great fun in short bursts.

Oooh yes, I do like what I've seen of Celeste.

I think the Switch will have enough titles to keep me entertained for a few years.
