This is why I won't play Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Most of us use "NoTafRcade" now, we just post here occasionally so you don't get suspicious and try to find us.

OR and Jezo have a big crush on each other & they express it through teasing.

I have the early access version of dead cells but will definitely get on switch too. I'm not too keen on rogue likes but it plays very well.

I completely understand where you're coming from, O_R. The main female character, Pyra, is awful. However, in the game's defence, it does have two other very good female main characters (Nia and Morag - Nia is one of my favourite female characters in gaming ever). And of course it's a damn great JRPG. However if the boobs put you off I can't blame you for that.

Incidentally, this is the Stella Glow character I referred to. Prooooobably NSFW.

I agree on Pyra and even more so Mythra. Nya is a good character but her blade costume is down right ridiculous. Which is a pity as she's super useful.

I just went ahead and looked up her costume, I'm not finishing that game any time soon.

What the strawberry float is that dress.

Re: Nia: :lol: Wow, didn't get far enough in the game to see that. If she were wearing a skirt - or, like, anything there at all - it wouldn't be so bad...

I actually can't bring myself to get too upset over Xenoblade though, it's all so over-the-top it just makes me think "lol Japan" and that's that. (I realise that's not a very feminist POV though!)

I think for me it's the facts that:
-the last two games weren't so OTT (perhaps solely due to art style - Sharla wasn't exactly sensibly dressed);
-the last two games allowed you to change the more ridiculous outfits if you didn't like them;
-the worst culprit is the main female character, and it is completely contrary to her personality;
-Nia (early game), Mòrag, and Blades like Adenine show that they can do 'sensibly' dressed female characters. It's not like Senran Kagura where they're all stupid: if they were, I probably wouldn't have picked it up!

Those are all totally fair points. I think my stance says more about my intense desensitisation (thanks anime!) than the game itself.

Anime was a mistake.

So I picked up this grip for the Switch from Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/ORZLY®-Comfort-Grip-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B077V9B7C6/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1531428894&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=Nintendo+Switch+grip&psc=1

My god does it make the Switch feel more comfortable in handheld mode. Had a quick go of Flinthook with it and it and my hands felt less cramped, i’ll see how it works over a longer play session over the weekend.

Man, I know it's like another Wii U port but Mario Kart 8 works really well on the Switch. Not sure if I like the fact that *everyone's* unlocked from the start rather than having to win a cup to get a random character, but it's kinda nice to have the full roster without having to win your way through all the koopalings before you get someone you actually like. Think you really need the joycon straps with the shoulder buttons for local multiplayer, though. You'll get proper hand cramp bending your fingers around to reach them without the strap :slol:

EDIT: If you've got two power-ups banked, can you press a button to swap the backup out to be the primary power or do you have to use the first one before you can use the second?

No, annoyingly so, particularly when it always gives you a golden mushroom followed by a bullet bill and never the other way round
