Hopefully I get another update on the Paid online with a LOCKED ON DATE and will this tie in with a firmware update (hence the lack of lock on time frame?)

I sold Mario Tennis yesterday. First time I've sold a game in years, but there just isn't enough content in the game. Plus with the paid online service round the corner - which I'm not intending to sign up for - I thought it best to cash in now.

I need to give Mario Tennis another shot. The lack of a quick replay for Adventure Mode irritated me, but that's now been added, soooooo...

In unrelated news, I'd forgotten how slow the start of Okami is. The answer is, 'Very.' So much backstory, told at such lethargic pace! Good thing the game gets better later on.

I need to give Mario Tennis another shot. The lack of a quick replay for Adventure Mode irritated me, but that's now been added, soooooo...

I adored the N64 and GC versions and so was initially very excited about the Switch iteration but given it's lack of modes and the adventure apparently clocks in at around 4 hours, I've passed.

So I started playing Go Vacation last night, it’s actually really good if your after something chilled to pass the time!

I unlocked the City and Snow resorts but found myself skating round the City going up the ramps and pulling off tricks and grinds!

40% of PixelJunk Monsters 2 looks like a decent deal. I'm also quite tempted by Smoke and Sacrifice, that might scratch an itch that only Don't Starve has managed to in the past.

There's also a good discount on The Flame in the Flood which is a similar title. Has anyone played either or both of these? Any suggestions as to which is better?

Flame in the flood is good. Never played smoke and sacrifice. Flame in the flood is similar to don’t starve if you’ve played that, but FITF is much better. It’s a cool game and the soundtrack is amazing. Very very hard though.

I've got say, you were spot on. Very similar to Don't Starve but with enough interesting stuff to make it worth playing as an alternative. Not sure it's quite as good but I've only been playing it this weekend. I can see it's the kind of game I'll play in patches but will keep going back to over the years. Well worth £7.50.

For what it's worth, I adore the mechanics of Aces enough that I've put 40 hours into it online, simple tournament has been my go to on Switch lately. Actually fired up the Gamecube MT on Dolphin recently and was surprised it felt a bit stiff in comparison.

Lack of content is absolutely a concern though, plus I'm still hoping for more balance patches (Peach and Boo ).

I feel your pain. Playing it at the moment on the Xbox, the first hour or more was a slog. The game is seriously great after that though.

I know it's a Zelda-like with a playable wolf but I didn't expect them to be this faithful to Twilight Princess
