Very tempted to just unwrap smash and tell the kids Santa came early... but we’ll all really be too busy to play until Xmas anyway.

I agree with this. It is pretty short though, which for me at least is a good thing as it doesn't outstay it's welcome and kinda leaves you with the feeling of wanting more.

I hopw so. I'm not interested as it is, but SNES games (even ones I already have on the SNES Mini and my RetroPie) would convince me.

Currently using the 7 day trial for Smash Bros. If Snes games were announced I would absolutely sign up for the year. I dabbled with a few of the NES games and although I still respect them, they are just a bit too old school for me nowadays. I think a lot more people in the UK grew up with a 16 bit console than an 8 bit one, as home computers still ruled the roost back then.

I'm enjoying Smash so much I may sign up anyway though to be honest. Especially if something Grcade related were to emerge.

A rumour was floating around that the Nintendo Eshop will be rebranded in the New Year to ‘Nintendo Switch Online Shop’ and with that could come new features and hopefully an overhaul of the eshop layout.

SNES games are a must, Reggie recently mentioned that Nintendo Switch Online was the future for legacy output so it must be coming. My guess is we will keep getting NES games until E3 and then they will announce SNES games.

Adding SNES games to the free retro library would be a step towards making Switch Online feel "worth it". I am begrudgingly paying it but the current online service doesn't feel like good value to me really.

Now I'm at the Pokemon League I'm trying to slow down finishing off Pokemon Let's Go, so I need some recommendations for more good time-sinky games for my commute. I've got a bunch of point and click games in my watchlist, but the ~10 hour runtime means I'll be through it in a week looking for something else. Anyone know how long Donut County is? That's definitely on my radar too.

I'm after something meaty that I'll waste 100-odd hours in like Xenoblade or Breath of the Wild. I'm tempted by Rayman Legends, purely because I think it'll be better suited to a handheld than a home console.

Someone suggest me something good pls. I've been contemplating World of Final Fantasy for a while, but I'm waiting for an eshop sale first.
