Speaking of techie analysis, here's Valkyria Chronicles 1 on Switch alongside PS3+PS4
Actually seems similar to Dark Souls in that it's using the remake assets but running at 30fps instead (and perhaps a slightly lower resolution too)

A sequel was always a pipe dream anyway
I've not picked it up, I'm too put off by having to use touch controls on the switch, I'd need to get a stylus and ergonomically it just doesn't seem great.
I did however buy Starfox: Battle for Atlas last night. The arwing is great, gonna start the game tonight!

When you're charging ridiculous money for it I'm not at all surprised. The absolute maximum it should've retailed for is £24.99.
At £39.99 it was never going to bring in a lot of new players and returning players would have a lot more trouble not just sticking with the DS/Mobile version.
From what I understand there's a little bit of new content in this release, but not enough to justify a £40 price tag.

Yes they’ve shot themselves in the foot a bit by the handling of it. Ah well, I’m up for playing it again... after I finish Octopath. Which could still take months.

Anyone with Super Mario Party, help me out: I've just seen the advert on TV, and the voiceover says "share a joycon". Is there a pass-and-play mode, or is it just saying "it's four players but you can play in teams if there's more than four people"?

Is no one bothering to review Dark Souls on Switch, or is it still under embargo (worrying). I'm still on the fence whether to double dip or not.
