West of Loathing is brilliant, though it's not very conventional in it's setting, run time etc, so you may want to do your research and see if its for you. I strongly recommend it at the price (about £10).

Think I definitely preferred Axiom Verge at this point in time compared to Hollow Knight. I'm just kind of aimlessly wandering around in Hollow Knight at the moment with no real sense of direction

+1 for Xenoblade as a very good RPG. I loved it!

I've spent an hour or two with Hollow Knight so far and I'm feeling it just yet. It's certainly a beautiful game and the base gameplay seems solid but it hasn't 'clicked' with me yet.

Despite loving Xenoblade Chronicles and eventually liking Xenoblade Chronicles X, XC2 still hasn't clicked with me. I'm not sure why really, it's got a lot going for it but it hasn't hooked me in like the first one did. I am tempted to drop it down to easy and not focus on side quests (as a lot of them are basically fetch quests which even relatively early on the game have become tiring already) so I can just get the story complete as it is decent and this way it won't end up on my back log.

Hoping to spend some more time with Hollow Knight this evening as well, I find with Metroidvania style games I quickly forget where I'm meant to be heading if I don't play them often although with Hollow Knight it seems to be mainly exploring at the moment with the goal being buying various items needed to venture further.

Thanks for the replies! Didn't realise Xenoblade was an RPG, thought it was more of an action game.

It is more of an action game. Like how Aces isn't a tennis game or how Smash is more of a party game.

Smash is a party game

There are rumours that Captain Toad Treasure Tracker on Switch and 3DS has the four new Mario Odyssey levels as replacements for the Mario 3D World levels that featured in the Wii U version. I hope not; as another port, I'd expect it to have all of the original stuff as well as the newer bits!

I enjoyed I am Setsuna - pretty short compared to most RPGs with a pretty simple battle system and story. I'd wait for a discount to drop it to £15-£20 though as I'd be struggling to recommend it at full price.

That would be ridiculous!

So that's potentially Mario Tennis and Captain Toad off my to buy list.

I mean, if you've never played Captain Toad you should definitely still be getting it. They've only dropped 4 levels and replaced them with 4 Odyssey levels instead. It's not really that big a deal, more just an odd decision.

Why drop them, just include them, gooseberry fool they are going to charge full price for a game that was already made and so make a chuffing great profit.

It's not full price to be fair, you can get it £30 on pre-order quite easily at the moment.

Odd decision though yeah. I dunno if there's a technical reason for it but I'm struggling to think what it could be.

Neither was Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and they still bumped that up for the Switch version....
