Thanks again for the recommendations

If you liked what you saw the i can confidently state you wont regret it. It really is a great little game, and some of the side quests have some real meat (no pun intended) and story building to them. I think a lot of people may play and not appreciate just how good it actually is (though that is possibly my misconception).

Yeah, it's a fun little game. West of Loathing is a better RPG though unless you really like golf.

I would second this. I really did like Golf Story though, it does have a lovely warm, relaxed feeling to it.

Smash is a party game

Exactly. I only post truths.

Played another hour or so of Hollow Knight last night - still not feeling it really. I'm going to keep giving it a bit more time but it has definitely got some work to do in order to win me over yet...

Im in the same boat, Im just not sure what I should be doing. Ill wander around and eventually meet an enemy I just cant kill, die, lose my stuff then do it all over again. I do like actually playing the game though, it feels good and it I like the look, its just not hooked me yet.

Yeah, if you chip away at it I think you could make it a fairway in 3 hours.

Right, fine, i will do the honorable thing and provide an actual reply of use.

I think my save file was pretty much on the 20hr mark when i finished up. If you are eagle eyed and bunker down (?!?) you might get it done in about 15.

Ace... :datass: .

Apparently there is a substantial Day One download that adds some features to the tournament modes.

Eurogamer wrote:The mode is now split into online and offline matches. You can play in Standard Class - a tournament with the standard rules and powers - and Simple Class, which allows you to play without the energy meter. June's tournament is brief, obviously, while in July you play for Koopa Troopa.

Future months will provides an earlier way to access characters like Diddy Kong, Koopa Paratroopa, Blooper and our absolute favourite - Birdo. If you don't play in the tournament you'll need to wait for the following month for the character to be unlocked automatically.

NIS America are streaming Ys VIII on Twitch at the moment. It looks to be a much better port than I was expecting. Seriously thinking of double dipping, not until it drops in price substantially though.

Yeah, Ys VIII is fantastic, but the price on the Switch version hurts. It's rare I replay games these days but will definitely set aside time to experience this game again.

I played the 3ds one yesterday and thought it was decent but that the bigger switch screen might offer some benefit so I will be trying that next. Also I thought the 3d effect was very mild and that was what I was most looking forward to. Game y seemed fun though.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Coupled with the fantastically desolate atmosphere and the charm of the NPCs you happen upon, exploring genuinely feels like a treat in this and not a chore in the least.

Me too. It reminds me a lot of Salt and Sanctuary (and therefore by extension Dark Souls). The only thing I don't like, jumping when near the edge of a platform seems a bit hit and miss (though I'm gooseberry fool at platformers).
