I bought it on release and am still playing it (working through the C-Sides).

Easily one of my games of the forever :D

Got me thinking though, why doesn’t the WiiU pro controller work with the switch? It’s basically the same controller. Nintendo have historically been really good at supporting older controllers, so why not this time?

I do t imagine there are a lot of them in the wild either, so not sure there too much risk of cannibalising pro controller sales.

If you have one knocking around you want to make use of, there appears to be adapters available online for about 15 quid that lets you use the U Pro controller on a Switch. I'm thinking about getting one myself if I can fix my L trigger

Anyone tried the 8Bitdo adapter with a PS4, 360 or WiiU Pro controller? I quite fancy it. Any lag or issues?

I can strongly recommend all three B)

If I had to choose an order it'd be Celeste > Hollow Knight > Blossom Tales, but they are all very different games and very worth your time!

What do people reckon to the Banner Saga (trilogy)? Worth getting?

I'll post my thoughts/opinions on Mario Party once I get home, I already posted it on telegram but need to polish up the English so it reads better on forums, but for now have a video of one of what might be one of favourite minigames:

It's nerve-racking...

And I see your Twitter name includes Fisher - the game is up Seven :capnscotty:

Just finished the first game last night. I played it way back on PC but never got the sequels, so replaying it I had forgotten a lot and I needed to anyway so that my save can carry over.

The first at least is a fantastic game. A very solid battle system actually comes in second behind the superb writing. The world is very well developed too. If you're a fan of real player choice and story influence in RPGs then this is a game that shouldn't be missed imo.

This new version of The Legend of Zelda is available as part of the NES Online service right now! I guess it's a kind of "easy mode"?

I approve of this ranking. All three are very different but they're all fantastic games. :toot:

Was typing on Switch itself, close enough.

I've been SevenFisher for ages! Only dropped Fisher when GRUK closed down and we all moved over here.

I have nothing to do with this Fisher person at all.

I had a go on Mario Party last night (on my own :( ), so just had a go at the river-rapids mode, and that seemed pretty fun. The thumbs-up after every mini game might get old, though :slol: Will have a proper play over the weekend. Expecting good things.

Are the characters that are locked featured in the intro video or are there any *surprises*? Assuming if there are any surprise characters it'll just be metal mario or something equally dull, anyway

Spoilers:

You can get Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dry Bones and that female koopa you regularly fight in SM3D World

Other than that not much of surprise.

Setup my Switch last night. Really impressed with how snappy and minimalist the OS is. I don't need all that extra shite that clutters up most game console operating systems.

Played the Captain Toad demo just to see something running on it. Screen is decent enough. Game ran well.

Just don't know what to start now. Got Xenoblade, Mario and Splatoon there, and I can't decide. I think Splatoon has a Halloween splatfest soon, I definitely want to play on that. But I'd need Nintendo online. Eh.
