Nintendo has uploaded a new video about indie games on the Switch. In the interest of cultivating more threads instead of relying on a few megathreads, let's discuss the video here. I haven't yet watched it but I'll post my thoughts once I have.

(Not so stealthy brag about our game being featured. In fact, it's the very first game shown, 0.50 secs in.)

Night Call: Out now!
Rip Them Off: Out now!
Chinatown Detective Agency: 2021!

I’m so sick of procedural generation. Please please please give me hand-designed levels!

As an almost direct (heh) corollary, I found this showcase lousy. Taf, for what it’s worth, your game seemed like the highlight.

Taf was yours one of the two "Taxi Driver" games at E3? Thought they both looked pretty good.

It was! A real "Antz" vs "A Bug's Life" coincidence. We've been in touch with the other devs and it appears the two games are very different, tonally. And I know I'm biased but (whisper it) we've definitely got the better art style of the two.

Ta! Yeah, it's a stunning looking game if I do say so myself (which I can, having had absolutely nothing to do with the art direction). This was the first time I'd really gotten a look at the 'investigation' stage (outside of concept and WIP vids) and it looks marvellous.

Is there a thread for your game, Taf? Has Nick created one already?

Only watched as far as your game Taf, looks good as well! It was at E3 as well wasn't it? Or am I imagining it?

Might as well watch the rest, although I'm more wondering now we've had a Smash focused direct and now a Indie focused direct if that means a normal direct could be happening at some point in the near future?

I've heard a lot of good stuff about A Hat in Time, is it actually that good? I've never played it.

Anyway I've finished the direct, not much of interest in there for myself really, Night Call looks good, as does Everspace.

Will the Switch version of Hat in Time come with the co-op mode? Genuine dealbreaker if it doesn't

So far they have only said the new stuff is coming to PC, not confirmed for consoles yet.
