Not really.

64 was best selling game on N64.
Sunshine was only beaten by DD and Melee
3D World was only beaten by MK8

SMG and SMG2 are the ones that are further off the top but a lot of more unorthodox Wii software like Wii Resort, Wii Fit and Wii Plag did crazy numbers and the Galaxy games still sold well (13m for 1 and 7m ish for 2)

Odyssey was a pack in during Black Friday which must have contributed to a big chunk of sales.

That's the bundle I bought, fitting as my first ever console (NES) had Mario Bros pack-in.

32.27m sold

https://gematsu.com/2019/01/switch-worl ... 08-million

Should overtake the Xbox One (41.1m) and N64 (32.93m) this year and if it follows the current trajectory it should sell over 100m units in it's lifetime

NINTENDO ARE DOOMED, DOOOOOOOOMED

I try not to care about sales figures, but nice to see Nintendo doing okay-ish I suppose. ;)

The Smash sales put their E3 content into perspective now, it's completely understandable why they devoted so much time to it. It's certainly a bigger deal than I ever realised. This year is going to be interesting. It still feels like so much could go either way, there's potential for slippage (even after Metroid Prime 4; I wouldn't say Pokemon is certain, and I genuinely expect Fire Emblem to be later in the year than many are predicting), and surprises. So looking forward to this year's first Direct.

Those sales for Smash are amazing especially for a game just over a month old.

To put 12 million sales into scale, 31 million is the number needed to be in the top 10 selling games of all time. 12 and 10 million for Smash and Pokemon respectively is massive business. Heck 2.4m for Kirby is good!

I'm getting the feeling that Switch will end up being one of Nintendo's most successful products of all time.

DS (154m) - Bought this for Brain Training and little else
GameBoy (118m) - Most friends had one but I had a GameGear instead
Wii -(101m) - Only recall one friend having this

Switch (32m) - Bought shortly after launch though not played much recently

https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2019 ... e-than-n64

Nintendo Switch hardware sales have now hit 34.74m units - almost triple the Wii U's final tally, and a third of Wii's final total. It has overtaken N64, which sold 32.9m.

Great news, they'll need better third party support (why LA Noire is there but GTA V isn't is beyond me) and more portable hardware revisions to pass that 100m lifetime sales barrier though.

It'l be interesting to see how it performs in China, as far as I'm aware Switch will be the first official Nintendo console to be sold there

Some really strong software sales there as well 13.8m for Smash and over 10m for Pokemon is great work.
