Theres a guy I work with who owns a couple of Amiibos but has never owned a Nintendo machine in his life, he just likes the figures.

Based on the streetpasses I get, most Nintendo players are still definitely children

Based on my streetpasses, all the other Nintendo fans have strange bulbous heads, no fingers, and wear brightly-coloured pyjamas all the time. Weird.

344 Dan.s until Christmas! wrote:I wonder what the average age of the Amiibo buyer is? I know there'll be loads of older Amiibo buyers - everyone on this place, for example! - but they're selling too well for it just to be old fans, kids must be snapping them up. I read somewhere (no idea if true) that Nintendo have sold more Amiibos than Wii Us. Sounds crazy but considering the price difference it's not that bad (plus Nintendo have sold no Wii Us LOL)

How is that crazy? I've managed to acquire 3 and I don't really want or agree with their usage. A lot of people will have a couple and there's some that have got to collect them all.

Well I mean Amiibos started out as a side item and so to think they're selling more of those than their actual current main home console sounds skewed until you start to actually think about it (massive cost differential; Wii U doing badly; Amiibos well popular)

Plus y'know you only need to own one WiiU whereas you can own many amiibo. I don't think it sounds skewed at all considering the number of collectors.

Pokken Modes

Serebii.net has also posted some more information on tournament modes in the title, which range from Single Battle to Online Ranked Matches.

Here’s the rundown courtesy of Nintendo Life:

Single Battle – A typical single player mode with three difficulty settings.
Local Battle – Two players against each other, one on the GamePad – this will run at 30fps instead of the game’s norm of 60fps.
Online Friendly Matches – Play against anyone, those on your Friends List or by using a ‘Battle Code'; these are unranked fights.
Online Ranked Matches – Earn ranking points in online matches
LAN Support – Link two Wii U’s for a 60fps local match.

Really going all out with this one.

Bayonetta 2 is getting a standalone release in America in February. I didn't realise it hadn't been released separately before. Hopefully it'll get a decent bump in sales to coincide with Bayonetta's appearance in Smash.

Obama should partner up with Reggie after his term is up, do a crazy fun video for the Nintendo presentation at E3 2017.

I prefer the second one too - the official one looks a bit messy...
