*if* you get Mario Party and you get some Amiibo's to play Amiibo party, Bowser has special abilities that change the way that mode is played, so it's worth getting Bowser AND 4 other Amiibo so you can play normal Amiibo party AND Bowser Amiibo Party.

Bowser Party (sans Amiibo) is also an additional party mode outside of Amiibo Party Mode.
Which can be confusing.

Been playing Mario party a lot over the past week as i bought it for my son of release. It's actually pretty good. I don't have any amiibo as I'm struggling to see their use. Is it really worth getting four amiibo just for this feature?

So, who else is thinking of shifting this thing? I have too many games to play still and they would keep me interested in the wii u until next year, even without zelda.

I think nintendo may go with a low cost remaster and keep the new zelda for the new machine or at the very least have it released on the wii u and its successor. I highly doubt nintendo will go with a tablet type controller again and may just go back to basics with classic controllers and/ or wii motes. The silly thing is all nintendo had to do was to release a wii hd and call it wii hd. They would have won the war imo.

As in selling the Wii U, gamer? No way, man! The machine has a lovely, if small, catalogue of games and I want to continue enjoying them in future years. I used to sell my old machines but no more - you only get peanuts for them and I'd rather keep the stuff.

The game schedule is looking rather thin but I think there will be a couple more gems. My personal view is...

I'm excited!
> Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush
> Yoshi's Wooly World
> Lego Jurassic World
> Devil's Third
> Xenoblade Chronicles

I'm not sure...
> Legend of Kay: Anniversary
> Splatoon
> Lego Marvel Avengers
> Starfox
> Rodea The Sky Soldier

I don't think they'll arrive...
> Zelda U
> Project Cars

There will, of course, be some eShop stuff too. I'm keen to see more of Affordable Space Adventures. The game is a Wii U exclusive and it seems to take full advantage of the Gamepad. I wonder if it may well be a little too complex, but I'm eager to see what it could offer.

And Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2

I've got no intention of selling my Wii U (ever), I love it.

And, especially as I won't have access to it for a while yet, I'll have a good backlog of quality titles. I haven't even started Tropical Freeze, Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2 (played a few chapters of B1), Adventure mode/the DLC on Hyrule Warriors, Wind Waker HD and New Super Mario & Luigi U. I've got Kirby, Yoshi's WW and Splatoon pre-ordered as well.

And I am always happy to play 3D World and Mario Kart.

Plenty of eShop titles too, like Scram Kitty, Mighty Switch Force and Pullblox World.

Then there's the Virtual Console and backwards compatibilty: for example I've got Donkey Kong Country Returns, Pikmin 1&2 NPC, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Skyward Sword and a replay of the Galaxy games too.

Nope. It's awful. I was looking forward to it, and then within seconds of turning it on it disappoints me. They've dumbed the whole "board game" thing down far too much (no coins to collect, just mini-stars, the board is a single linear track, and everyone moves the same piece around?) It's absolute nonsense. There hasn't been a good Mario Party since about 4. Who remembers the koopa cabana? That was a great board.

Forgot about the mk8 dlc pack 2! Nice little surprise in may! Definitely the best mario kart to date and the first dlc is amazing!

I will probably pick up splatoon, xenoblade, yoshi and star fox from what is remaining. I think there will be one or two gamecube remasters before the end, which will probably occur next summer, ready for a winter 2016 launch for its next gen machine. In a way i hope it continued for longer as nintendo don't really require more powerful hardware...look at how gorgeous mario 3d world is!

I've not played it but from what you've described, it sounds awful.

Yeah I havent played one since the original but I was looking forward to giving the new one a go until I heard all this nonsense. Made it a completely pointless affair from the sounds of it.

With Zelda being pushed back i'm wondering if a Direct is incoming with a tease of a big 2015 winter game followed by a full reveal at E3

Having never played a Mario Party game before, I'm quite enjoying playing it with my son.

I feel like the "looming" demise of the Wii U is being completely over exaggerated on the internet. There is no way Nintendo are about to ditch it in the next two years. The only reason it was even mentioned in that DeNA announcement was to prevent any "Nintendo dropping out of the hardware business" headlines.

We won't hear anything concrete against NX until at least next year, and I highly doubt it will appear on shelves until at least November 2017, probably later. Which means we are still going to get at least another 2 years of quality titles out of Nintendo, which, based on the last two years will in all likely hood be another 10-15 retail titles and whatever else they decide to put on the eshop and add to their retro offerings.

Of course that's all assuming that NX is actually a home console, which is a stretch, considering they tend to alternate handheld and home consoles, and that come 2017 the 3DS is going to be 6 years old and in need of replacement.

In short, Nintendo are not dropping Wii U, it's likely NX is a hand held so panicking about a sudden drought in software, is, in my opinion a complete over reaction.

Use the code 'marchsaleday7' to get a Wii U for £127.

Thing is, that's really my biting point, but I currently can't afford it. Sad face.

I think I'll replace Zelda U with Wind Waker HD this Christmas.

I still have Tropical Freeze, New Super Mario & Luigi U and Wonderful 101 to pick up. Then I'll pick up Kirby, Yoshi's WW, Splatoon, Starfox and Xenoblade. Throw in some more hours on Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros and MK8 post DLC and there's more than enough for me to be getting on with.

Have you got/played Pikmin 3 and ZombiU? I think they should be on every owners list.
